Chapter 1
Zia
“Hey Z!” Rose said walking into the guest room I was cleaning. “Hi Rose.” I say as I continue to clean. Rose is my best and only friend and she just so happens to be the Alpha’s daughter. She is the only one in this whole pack that is nice to me, everyone else looks down on me because I am a lowly omega. But I owe Alpha Jim my life because he saved me, he said I was born a rogue and that my parents were killed when they found me. I do everything I can to thank him for not leaving me in that forrest. I cook, clean, do laundry for those who live in the pack house, I honestly just do whatever is asked of me. My life here in the Shadow Pack isn’t horrible as long as I keep my head down and listen. When I was younger I would try and rebel so they would hit me or torture me to correct my behavior. But now I am 20 years old and I know how to fly under the radar so things aren’t as bad just a slap here and there and every now and then I will get a beating to make sure I know my place. I got my wolf two years ago and she is way more outgoing than me and sometimes even gets me into trouble for her mouth but she understands now what she says will get me punished. Without her I think I would’ve gone crazy by now. When you turn 18 you can find your mate after you get your wolf and on my 18th birthday I found mine but he didn’t want me so here I am a maid and punching bag for the pack but I honestly have it good Alpha Jim says some omegas in other packs are beat everyday and are used as breeders so I will take this over that anyday.
“I just wanted to say hey before I left for school.” Rose said hugging me “Have a good day “ I said watching her walk out of the door. Rose and I are the same age so she goes to a human college not far from the pack. The day goes by pretty quickly as I finish up my chores. “Zia come to my office now.” Jared yells. Jared is Alpha Jim’s son and Rose’s older brother he is also the man who I was mated to but he quickly showed me that I was undeserving of him. Now he uses my body in any way he sees fit or he will have me watch as he has sex with his current girlfriend Zoe. I walked into his office and Zoe was already there “Why is she here?” Zoe asked Jared. “Because I told her to be.” Jared said walking over to me. I kept my head down and he said “You are going to watch me fuck Zoe and if you look away you don’t even want to know what will happen.” He growled then turned around and grabbed Zoe and bent her over the desk pulled her pants down and took her over and over again while he looked at me smiling. When he was done he yelled “Now get the fuck out of here.” I walked out and to my room in the basement and when I got there Alpha Jim was waiting which means its time for a beating, great just my luck. During my beating I lay on the ground and don’t make a sound because when I cry it gets worse and lasts longer. After he finished he walked out and I couldn’t even get up off of the ground. I guess I am sleeping here tonight I said to myself as I let sleep take me.
“Get up.” Alpha Jim yelled throwing a cold bucket of water on me. “The Alpha King will be here tonight I need the pack house spotless and pay extra close attention to the guests rooms. And hurry up because you will stay down here while he is here.” Alpha Jim said and I stood up and followed him up the stairs to do as I was told. I finished everything just in time so I walked back to my room and tried to mentally prepare myself for the next few days with no food.
