The Deal

It was a bright, sunny day—

yet something in the air felt… off.

Like the sky was holding back a storm.

YN slowly opened her eyes, sunlight falling across her face. For a moment, everything felt normal.

Peaceful.

She got up, got ready quickly, and rushed downstairs—bag in one hand, phone in the other.

“Come home early today,” her father said from the table.

She paused slightly.

“Why?”

“We have to go somewhere.”

His tone was firm. No explanation.

YN nodded quietly, grabbing a piece of bread and stuffing it into her mouth before rushing out.

“YN!”

Lily’s voice echoed as she reached the college gate.

“You’re late again!”

YN rolled her eyes slightly, still chewing.

“Sorry! My dad stopped me. He told me to come home early.”

Lily sighed dramatically.

“Ugh, he’s so strict.”

YN’s expression softened a little.

“At least you have your mom,” she said quietly.

“My mom was like a fairy… she used to teach me so many good things.”

A small smile appeared—but her eyes dimmed.

“I miss her.”

Lily gently nudged her.

“Moms are always angels.”

YN smiled faintly.

“Yeah… angels.”

“Now come on,” Lily grabbed her hand.

“Let’s go before that boring history lecture starts again.”

Inside the classroom—

The professor droned on about the same chapter.

Again.

And again.

“Why does he always teach this same boring chapter?” YN whispered under her breath.

Lily stifled a laugh.

Finally—break time.

YN stepped outside, leaning against the corridor railing.

The wind brushed softly against her face, playing with her hair.

For a moment—

She closed her eyes.

Enjoying it.

Feeling free.

But what she didn’t know…

Was that this calm breeze—

Was just the beginning.

Of a storm…

That would change her life forever.

The moment YN reached home—

“Where were you?” her father’s voice cut through the air, sharp and impatient.

“Go get ready. Fast. We’re getting late.”

“Ahh, dad!” she groaned, dropping her bag.

“Why are you always—”

She stopped, frustrated, running a hand through her hair.

“God, please save me from him…” she muttered under her breath as she walked upstairs.

She quickly changed into the dress he had told her to wear earlier.

But something felt… strange.

Off.

As she came downstairs again—

She froze.

Her luggage.

Placed neatly near the door.

“Dad…?” her voice lowered.

“Why is my luggage here?”

“No questions,” he said firmly.

“Let’s go.”

A strange uneasiness settled in her chest.

But she stayed quiet.

They got into the car.

“Now fast,” he told the driver.

YN turned toward him, frowning.

“What’s so urgent?”

“You’ll get to know soon.”

She sighed, leaning back.

“Why are you being so mysterious…”

As the car moved further—

The surroundings began to change.

Bright streets turned into darker, emptier roads.

Tall buildings disappeared.

Silence grew heavier.

YN sat up straight.

“Where are we going?” she asked, her voice slightly tense now.

“Why is everything so dark here?”

No answer.

“Dad?” she pressed again.

Still nothing.

Her eyes drifted once more to the luggage beside her.

Her heart skipped.

“Wait… why is my luggage with us?”

The car finally stopped.

In front of a massive mansion.

Cold.

Silent.

Intimidating.

A guard approached the car, his gaze sharp.

“Who are you?” he asked.

Her father stepped out calmly.

“I am Park Irene.”

YN stepped out slowly, confusion turning into unease.

“Dad… what’s going on?”

He didn’t look at her.

“You’ll know soon.”

And for the first time—

A strange fear crept into her heart.

YN followed her father inside, her steps slow, unsure.

The mansion felt colder from the inside.

Heavier.

Her father stopped near a large office door and spoke to the guard—

“Where is your sir? The meeting was fixed. I’m here for that.”

A voice came from inside—

“Let them in.”

The massive doors opened.

YN stepped in…

And her breath caught.

A huge cabin.

Dark walls. Expensive interiors. Power in every corner.

One man stood near the window, his back facing them.

Another sat in a chair—his face hidden.

“So… you finally came,” the man near the window said, turning slightly.

Her father nodded quickly.

“Yes.”

The chair slowly rotated.

And there he was.

Edward Smith.

Calm. Composed. A faint smirk playing on his lips.

Eyes that looked at you like they already owned you.

From the side—

The other man stepped forward.

Silent.

Sharp.

Deadly.

Lucien Smith.

YN felt something shift inside her.

The way he looked at her—

It wasn’t normal.

It wasn’t curiosity.

It felt like…

He already knew her.

“So,” Edward spoke smoothly, folding his hands,

“let’s not waste time.”

A file was placed on the table.

“Sign here,” he said casually.

“Leave your daughter… and take the money as per the deal.”

YN froze.

Her mind went blank.

“No need to worry,” Edward added with a soft chuckle.

“We’ll take good care of her.”

“Dad…?” her voice trembled slightly.

“What is all this?”

Her father avoided her eyes.

“Dad, what is this?!” she raised her voice now.

He signed.

Just like that.

YN’s heart dropped.

“No—wait—what are you doing?!” she stepped forward.

“Tell me!”

He turned to leave.

“DAD!” she shouted, grabbing his arm.

“Why are you doing this?!”

Before he could answer—

Lucien’s voice cut through.

Cold.

Emotionless.

“Because he’s in debt.”

YN froze.

“And for that,” Lucien continued, his eyes locked on her,

“he sold you to us.”

Silence.

The world stopped.

YN slowly looked at her father.

Tears burning in her eyes.

“You… sold me?” her voice broke.

He didn’t answer.

Didn’t look back.

He just walked away.

And in that moment—

Something inside her shattered.

Edward leaned back, watching her closely.

Amused.

Interested.

While Lucien…

Just stared.

Intensely.

Possessively.

And that’s when YN realized—

She wasn’t leaving this place.

She had just been given away…

To two devils.
