Tears behind silence

Summary

Ayla was known as the quiet girl in school. She never laughed loudly, never shared her feelings, and always kept her eyes lowered—as if she was hiding a thousand untold stories behind them. People thought she was arrogant. Some thought she didn’t care. But the truth was far different. Every night, when the world slept, Ayla would sit by her window, staring at the moon. Her eyes would fill with tears she never allowed to fall during the day. Her silence wasn’t pride—it was pain. Her father had passed away two years ago, and since then, her home had turned into a place full of emptiness. Her mother worked day and night, and Ayla learned to stay strong… alone. One day in class, the teacher asked everyone to write about their “happiest memory.” Students smiled, laughed, and started writing. But Ayla… just stared at the paper. A single tear slipped down her cheek. Because her happiest memories were buried in a past she could never return to. For the first time, someone noticed her—Zain, a boy who sat behind her. He didn’t say much, but he gently placed a note on her desk: "You don’t have to stay strong all the time . It’s okay to feel." Ayla read it… and for the first time in years, she didn’t hide her tears. Because sometimes, silence is not peace. Sometimes, it is a storm no one can hear. Moral: Never judge someone by their silence.

Chapter 1 Don't judge bookby

Everyone in school knew her as the strange girl.

Her name was Ayesha. She always sat in the last row, wearing the same faded uniform and a pair of torn shoes that made a soft dragging sound when she walked. Her hair was never perfectly tied, and her eyes always looked tired… as if she hadn’t slept in days.

People judged her.

“She’s so weird.”

“Doesn’t she have other clothes?”

“Why does she never talk?”

Even the teachers rarely noticed her.
