Chapter 1: Meeting up
Bucky was walking through the streets of New York. He had gotten put on a mission to find an 18 year old girl named Y/N. Suddenly an 18 year old girl matching the exact description runs into his arms crying.
“Bucky, what happened to you?” The girl asks. Suddenly Bucky gets a memory of the same girl in his childhood laughing with Steve and a younger version of him
“Bucky, quit teasing Stevie.” The girl says while pouting playfully. Bucky laughs and continues teasing Steve. The girl playfully wraps her arms around his neck giggling.
Bucky chuckles softly resting his hand on her forearms. Steve playfully rolls his eyes. “Bucky quit hitting on my sister.“Bucky gasps dramatically.
“I would never do that.” They all laugh at Bucky’s comment.
I look down at the young woman with her face in my chest. “Who are you?” I whisper softly. The girl looks up at him tears brimming her eyes.
“You don’t remember me?” The girl stops hugging me but continues leaning on his chest. She gently takes off my mask, putting her hand on my cheek, “Please Bucky, please remember me.”
I could feel pain fill my chest. I need to remain stoic, no one can know that I know her. I look down at her soft face with tears going down her cheeks. I quickly hit her on the back of the head feeling her go limp against my chest.
I bury my face into Y/N’s hair breathing in her familiar perfume. I lift her up and take her to Hydra. Not knowing that they were going to torture her for information
I wake up to Y/N getting thrown into my cell bleeding and crying. I quickly move to her side cradling her to my chest. Y/N holds onto my shirt still crying.
I immediately notice that she had a metal arm. My eyes widen as I gently touch her metal fingers with mine. Y/N flinches looking up at me with her tear streaked face. “Shh, don’t worry I’ll show you how to survive this place.”
Over the years I teach Y/N how to control her new body. I could tell that she missed Steve. One night the two of us get a mission to go after Commander Fury. While we get ready for the mission Y/N silently gives me her favorite necklace clearly knowing she would most likely die.
Sadly, HYDRA has erased her memory of Steve. It’s probably for the best. Once we get to the apartment, I quickly take out Fury Y/N and I run across the rooftop as Captain America comes atop.
I look away for one second and when I look back at Y/N she’s struggling against Captain America clearly in pain. I jump off the building reluctantly, knowing I’ll have to find her soon.
Steve’s P.O.V
As Natasha and I talk about Fury I could see Y/N stirring. I can’t believe she was captured by HYDRA. I try to get her to look at me but she looks away clearly not wanting anything to do with me.
Natasha crouches in front of her. “Be careful Nat, she’s still my sister.” Natasha just hums her agreement before noticing something.
“I have been with her before, Steve. Let’s just see if she remembers me.” Natasha says. Natasha carefully removes Y/N’s mask suddenly Y’N’s eyes widen as she gets a flood of memory. “We should probably take her somewhere Steve.”
All I could do is nod looking at my little sister who was in pain. I gently lift her up as Natasha unties her. Y/N’s body was small and weighed practically nothing. I carry her to my car and gently place her in the backseat putting a blanket over Y/N.
Suddenly the man from the same night appears glaring at me. Natasha immediately gets into the passenger seat and drags me into the front. I quickly start up the car driving away as fast as possible.
I look at the back seat where Y/N was curled up under the blanket. I need to protect her.
It was morning, Y/N and Natasha were both sitting and talking to each other. I sit up in bed and Y/N was immediately at my side hugging me. I immediately hug her back and notice her metal arm.
“What happened to you?” Y/N buries her face against my neck clearly not ready to talk. “I’m taking you to Stark I don’t care what he says.”
Natasha shakes her head, “Remember, Tony is currently stuck talking to the Asgardian Gods.” I gently pick up Arwen while she was still clinging to my chest.
“It doesn’t matter this is my sister she’s hurt.” I carefully carry Y/N to the car putting her in the backseat. This time instead of Natasha sitting in the front she sits by Y/N in the back.
When we arrive at Tony’s penthouse he was currently staying at I carefully help Y/N out of the car. Natasha, Y/N and I go to the front door ready for anything to happen.
