Her body is draped across the bed, and her hair gracefully lies across the velvet pillow, with a rosewater scent flowing through the room. It portrays an image of solitude and serenity.
“I’m free,” she thought to herself. All while in the back of her mind roamed a dangerous afterthought: “But for how long?” She had to cut loose her ties with family and friends to build a life of her own without the judgment of dominating individuals that controlled her life before.
She freed herself by stepping out of the life she once knew and created one she knew was hers to live. She left her old life, and she hasn’t turned back since. But she can’t help but think of what the future entails for her now that she’s on her own.
Scared? Far from it—at least, from the looks of it, that’s what it may seem like. Yet truthfully, she’s terrified.
Determined? Absolutely. No doubt.
But there’s something missing...
