Chapter 1 – A New Beginning
Some dreams feel impossible… until the day they finally come true.
Working abroad was always one of those dreams for me.
I was just a simple Indian girl with big hopes in her heart and determination in her mind. My life was surrounded by the warmth of my big family, their love, their care… and sometimes, their endless rules.
According to them, a girl’s life should follow a certain order — study well, find a good job, and most importantly… get married at the right time.
But I wanted something more.
I wanted independence. I wanted to explore the world. I wanted to prove to myself that I could achieve something on my own.
So, after completing my university studies, I secretly applied for a job in Seoul, South Korea.
Days passed… then weeks… and slowly, I almost forgot about it.
Until one evening, an email appeared on my phone screen.
"Congratulations. You have been selected."
My heart started beating fast. I read the email again and again just to make sure I was not imagining things.
I got the job.
I was finally going to work abroad.
For a moment, everything felt perfect… until reality hit me.
Convincing my family was not going to be easy.
