Chapter 1 The Hidden Spot
Her:
"Poppy you're going to be late for your first day bak to school!" My dad yelled at me in our mansion.
...
"Poppy!!!"
"Ugh. What?! I'm coming dad." I said wearing my final jewelry before going to his car parked in the alley.
"You can't be late for your first day of the school year. I have work to do right after."
"Come on as if you would be fired. Aren't you the boss there or something." I said sarcastically, rolling my eyes looking out of the passenger seat window.
"Doesn't mean I can just skip it."
...
After twenty minutes of an awkward boring ride, I arrived to my school. It was my third and last year here. I'm only excited to see my boyfriend, Elijah. When my dad parked and I got out of the car, all eyes were giving me dirty looks. Probably because my dad drives the most expensive car in the city, or maybe because of my colored purple strands on my hair, or even because of my "revisited" uniform, as my main teacher calls it. I started to walk when I heard those noisy whispers.
"Is this the rich brat who thinks she owns the school? I mean look what she did to her uniform and still the principal didn't tell her anything."
"You didn't know? Her dad owns the biggest company of Texas. He also does a lot financially for this school. Talking to her is like signing the end of Green Owes High."
They were right, I am the daughter of a narcissistic, manipulative and annoying CEO. But it doesn't stop me from being the opposite of his expectations now does it?
I couldn't care less about those rumors and especially when my boyfriend, Elijah, showed up hugging me from behind wrapping his arms around my waist and resting his chin on my shoulder.
"There she is." He said kissing my cheek.
I smiled and started to walk with him when he stood next to me throwing his arm around my shoulders. Whispers started to get even worse than when I was alone. He was the son of my dad's biggest rival and that's exactly why I'm dating him.
"After school can we hang out together? I missed you so much! There is this cool spot that I think is good-"
"Sorry babe me and guys will go to the arcade. Maybe another time? Oh and can you give me some cash? I forgot my wallet." He said with his charmingly stupid smirk on his perfect face.
I sighed and nodded my head giving him some money. I was mad yes but I couldn't just ignore him.
During lunch I decided to skip school for the day and go to that famous spot I heard about. I activated my GPS on my phone and started to walk confidently in the "right" direction. After about one hour, I realized I was actually lost and I couldn't find anyone near the place I was in. I saw a small river with flowers and grass. It was really beautiful so I decided to take some rest. When I sat on a rock, I tried to call someone before noticing I had no network. I sighed but then I suddenly felt like a person was watching me. I turned around, no one was there. Then, suddenly, the wind started and it felt... different. It felt so soft and it smelled like somebody's perfume, so I stood up and looked around. Still no one was there. When out of nowhere, I heard someone being out of breath. I tried to follow the sound but I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned around and it was just Elijah who followed me when he saw me getting out of school. I was a bit relieved and told him: "You didn't tell me you were asthmatic, silly."
"What are you talking about?" He said raising an eyebrow when I heard the person caught again, still out of breath.
"Do you hear that!?" I said putting a finger on his lips.
"Hey are you going crazy because I said I don't have time for your so called date after school? Come on me and the boys wanted to hang out. You don't have to go crazy for me. You're clearly hallucinating" He smirked confidently. Before walking away. "So, you're coming or..?"
I just followed him, still questioning if someone was there...
