PROLOGUE
A princess falling for her knight. A knight in shining armor. huh? Have you ever fallen for a knight? Here's the thing, a knight does not have to be a KNIGHT, They could be the firefighters, police officers, army officers and many others who protect us. They could be the doctors spending day and night in the ER, even the people who teach us life, The people who helps us live a day more by their presence. Who is your knight in shining Armor? it could even be yourself, because is there anyone more capable of saving you than YOU?
As a matter of fact, I believe you should be your own protector, your own guide, your own best friend and your own armor. But sometimes we should rest and let others take care of us, and there is nothing wrong with that. You should cry, laugh, shout and FEEL. Because the biggest bravery is letting yourself be free, letting yourself love, letting yourself get loved. Letting yourself just BE, Without thinking about other people's opinion. People forgets this, lives their life for someone else, in the process, they lose their self. I have seen how affected people can be by others. How this keeps them from doing what they love.
Did I bore you out? I just wanted to share these words though. But before I speak more about these stuff, lets get started. first of all, let me tell you about a Kingdom. A princess and a knight who she fell in love with. A kingdom which lost itself not by thinking about others, but by only thinking about itself.

This story happened a long time ago, When the world did not have continents or countries, but Kingdoms. Lands were ruled by Monarchy, nobles looting the commoners. People leading devastating lives because the rulers wanted power. And the ones paying for it was the common people with their lives.
The Kingdom Victoria, All that mattered to the nobles was power. The land won through constant Wars and Marriage Alliances. The only Job a commoner could get that gave them enough money to look after their family was by being a soldier, a knight. families had to sent of their sons out to war, having no other choice in order to feed themselves. The streets were always filled with dirt, the commoners paying taxes every day. The few shops on the streets only had wheat, and maybe some vegetables, because what else could these poor people afford? The nobles held parties, led a lavish lifestyle.
In this Land of blood, A love bloomed. Among the Royal family's 19 children, the 7 of them being princesses, one Princess fell in love with her Knight. The one who was supposed to protect her. The princess was one of the very few who actually cared about the people, but being under her father's watch there was nothing she could do. She would sometimes secretly give money to her maids, she was kind to the knights. And her personal Knight was the only one who saw her crying. There were several nights when he used to hold her, comforting her. The knight was poor, he became a knight to provide for his family. He was selected to be the Princess's knight due to his abilities, He was not the best of the knight, if he was he would have been leading troops. But he was good enough. So he was selected to be the personal knight of the most beautiful princess of the kingdom. The knight too couldn't help but fall for the princess who was the kindest to him. Who let him into her world.
The princess hoped to be with the knight, But how could the king let his precious daughter be with a mere knight, when he could marry her of to power? when he could gain more by her? She knew her father, he would kill the knight. The moment the king gets a single signal about her desires, he would marry her off to some far land. He would never let her meet the knight again.
As the love story of the princess and her knight went on, Another war broke out in Victoria, no one knew who started the war. The king had no Idea who was after his kingdom. He did not know why many of his soldiers were turning against him, and who knows that happened to the Princess and Her Knight? The kingdom was in chaos until the 4th prince killed his own brothers and took over the throne. The kingdom healed under his rule. The people were happy, the streets were alive. All while, the princess was missing, the knight had disappeared, The king was hanged.
A modern romance with fantasy and a story lying underneath it.

The name Victoria was chosen because all the kingdom cared about was victory, power.
For those that are going to join me in this journey, the initial settings in the book will have nothing to do with the prologue. but later we will see what happened to the princess and the knight and the kingdom. And wait to know what happens.
