Peace

Lately, I have been thinking what is really means to be in peace.

Is it having a cozy corner at home? Is it the comfortable game chair? Is it sleep? Is it food? What is peace ultimately?

After thinking for days, I feel that peace may be subjective. It is different for each human, I can define my peace but I cannot say, what peace is means to you. Do you really know what is peace for you?

Once I realize that, I started to wonder what is peace for me. This question made me pause and think for a while. Because I don’t know what peace is to me. Is peace found within me, or from people? Is it found in the home or outside? Is it the feeling or the thing? Is it in the form of shopping? Am I really in peace? Or am I pretending to be in peace? The thoughts started to run in the speed of light. It was intense and I am determined to find out what is means to be in peace for this time.

Like I said, as you are reading this, you might also be wondering what it means to being at peace for you. But I think I have cracked the code. Peace appears in different forms. Mostly it is the feeling that creates within us, when we see, or do, or talk, or any action we do.

According to google, being in peace (or “at peace”) means experiencing a state of inner calm, contentment, and mental balance, free from excessive anxiety, stress, or inner conflict.

For me, it is a feeling that I get, when I clean the study space, rearrange the stuff at my home, completing a heavy task, even drinking cold water during the summer. It is the joy and feeling of enjoyment that creates within me. It has different forms, I couldn’t count them because in every situation, the definition of peace changes.

While studying, completing the to do list is the peace, and while going out, meeting your loved ones are peace. When you travel, oceans and greenery become your peace and while you are down, just getting up and setting the bed itself becomes the peace. So, after thinking too much, I am at peace that I got the meaning of being at peace for me.

I know, a simple word but thinking about it, gives the new perspective on, how much we are at peace lately. So, let me ask you once again, what it means for you to be at peace? Answer yourself, and you will know how tiny moments of peace, actually shaping us our day.

Coming back to our question, what it means to be at peace for you?
