Valhalla's Lantern

Long time ago, somewhere far far away, hidden behind mountains, there was a small village named Valhalla. The peisage of this village was breathtaking, in summer it looked like everything all of the sudden came to life, and it's chatting with the people who liked to listen to everything nature had to say. Every morning you could hear the birds singing songs, each morning a different one. The light wind blowing trees, you could hear the sound that leaves made, you could mistake it for music . A river passes through the middle of the village, parting Valhalla in 2 parts, west and east. The water on this river was so crystal clear you could've seen the fishes, rocks and everything really that was underneath that magical water.

But in Valhalla existed a dark, horrific forest, people were forbidden to go in the forest because no one is said to had made it alive. Except one old man who everyone thought he was crazy. It is said that in the middle of the forest is a castle made of wood, and in that castle lives a evil witch, who holds captive the beauty of the forest.

A young beautiful girl named Ariel was so attracted from the mystery of this forest, she spent hours and hours everyday studing ancient stories about the forest.

One day walking near the river, she stumbled upon the crazy old man. She apologized and continued to walk, when she arrived at her house, she felt something in her pocket, it was a letter, a letter from the crazy old man. It was said:

Dear Ariel

You probably don't know me, but i know you well.

You are the lantern that's going to light up the dark. You were destined to free the forest.

Meet me at the source of the river at sunset.

I will be waiting for you.

Ariel was thrilled and scared, she didn't know who was the author of this letter, and how did it end up on her pocket.

It was almost sunset, and brave Ariel decided to go.
