Excellent Thriller
"The romance in this book is absolutely wonderful. She’s a strong, guarded female lead who refuses to let herself feel, she has a job to do, people to protect... and yet she feels anyway. And when those emotions finally break through? Whew. 🤗 You feel every bit of it. This story truly has it all: the angst, the strategy, the drama, the politics of gang life, the knife‐twist moments that keep you awake at night replaying scenes in your head. The characters are so layered and intense they practically climb off the page and into your eyeballs. It’s a deep, gritty dive into the mafia underworld, the guns, the negotiations, the danger, the tension that never lets up. You feel it so vividly you can almost taste it. And the spice? It is intense. The kind that sets you on fire and makes you stare at the ceiling afterward, thinking. The POV shifts are also incredibly well done. Just when you’re dying to know what’s going on inside the man’s head, especially in those moments surrounding the queen, you get it. Can't wait for more!"
