Tear me apart... but put me back together
"I honestly don't even know where to begin with Tear Me Apart, because there is so much about this book that deserves to be talked about. Darcy has built an incredible story here. And I mean BUILT, because this isn't a book where everything is thrown at you in the first few chapters just to keep you interested. The storyline develops layer by layer. The tension grows, the questions become bigger, the relationships become more complicated, and before you realise it, you are completely caught up in this cold, cruel and fascinating world she has created. There is always the feeling that something is waiting underneath the surface, and I absolutely loved that. The characters are another huge reason this book worked so well for me. They aren't simply there to move the plot forward. They have edges. They make mistakes. They provoke you, frustrate you, make you question them and then somehow make you care about them anyway. Claire especially isn't a character you just watch from the outside. You experience so much of this story with her, and the psychological games, attraction, hatred and constant struggle for power make the dynamics between the characters incredibly addictive. And oh my Ezra .... 😭😭😭 And then there is Darcy's writing. She has a way of creating an atmosphere that you can almost feel around you. The cold, the isolation, the hostility, the attraction that really shouldn't be there—all of it comes through in her writing without losing the story underneath it. There are passages where you want to slow down because of the way something is written, and others where you simply can't because you need to know what happens next. That balance isn't easy to achieve. What impressed me most, though, is how everything works together. The setting isn't just a background. The characters aren't separate from the plot. The tension isn't there simply for shock value. It all belongs together, and the further you get into the story, the more you understand just how carefully it has been constructed. Tear Me Apart is intense, dark, complicated, beautifully written and impossible to reduce to just one genre or one simple description. It gets under your skin. Darcy, you created something truly special here, and I genuinely hope this book gets the attention it deserves. This is one of those stories I don't just want to recommend on Inkitt—I want to see it as an actual book sitting on shelves. And quite frankly, it should be. Tear Me Apart - is a must-have for every bookshelf, and I would buy a physical copy without thinking twice. An outstanding story, incredible characters and writing that deserves to be read by far more people. Darcy, please keep writing. I will always be your biggest fan and supporter ❤️ "

"Quite interesting I love it "
Can’t get enough🔥
"Claire and Ezra have me completely compelled✨ No words for this story. I love the tension, the characters, and the lecture scenes, which dive deep into important issues drawn from real life. And don’t even get me started on the essay part... you’ll have to read to find out for yourselves🤭🖤 Highly recommended for lovers of drama and romance. And as for the writer herself, she’s an incredibly talented author.🩷"

"Poor Claire Grey. Not only is she the unloved daughter of a cold billionaire father. She is shipped off to Graventhrone Institute, a secretive boarding school for wealthy “problem” teens. Claire quickly discovers the fortress-like academy is filled with cruel authority figures, (Mrs. Harth was my personal favorite) mixed-gender dorms, and arrogant hypersexual students. Especially Ezra, a tattooed bad-boy roommate she instantly despises despite inner stirrings within that suggest she may feel some unwanted attraction towards him. Whew! Author Darcy Kain does not hold back on the horrors of or the psychological scars it creates in the protagonist, Claire. I found myself cringing several times, yet unable to put my iPhone down and stop reading. The pacing is fast and binge-friendly. Nearly every scene ends with a hook that makes you want to keep turning the pages. Warning, this is not a novel for the faint-hearted. But for those who can handle it, you'll be rewarded with a dark tale about an admirably, strong, unbreakable spirit. "
