Introduction
Beneath the cursed sky of Bölvgeard, the world does not sleep in silence—it breathes in myth.
Here, folklore walks as flesh. Legends bleed. Manfolk, elves, orcs, and stranger beings yet share a fragile existence with creatures born of enchantment and dread. Magic is neither rare nor kind, and the unseen often proves more dangerous than the blade.
Across the vast continent of Philzöb’ogar, whispers stir of an ancient relic long thought lost—the crystal known as Corcaelus, the Heart of Heaven. It is said to have been glimpsed once more in the distant land of Shinar, a place where the veil between the mortal realm and the unknown wears dangerously thin. Arch-magi, wandering wizards, and power-hungry seekers now turn their gaze toward it, for Corcaelus is no mere artifact—it is a force said to eclipse even the fabled philosopher’s stone, a power capable of creation… or ruin.
Yet magic in Bölvgeard is not gifted equally.
There are those called Casters, souls who awaken—without warning—to the arcane. No lineage, no ritual, no mercy. And then there are the countless Commoners, who live and die untouched by such forces.
But worse than either… are the marked.
Those who bear the Cursed Seal.
They are called Outcasts.
Branded as omens of divine wrath, shunned by every corner of civilization, the Outcasts are hated and feared not for what they have done—but for what they might become. To carry the Seal is to be exiled from fate itself.
And yet, five young wanderers bear this curse together.
This is their story.
Their path leads them to Shinar—traveling into a land of shifting sands, buried truths, and rising darkness. But they do not walk it alone. In the shadows move the Herecös—faceless conjurers from the abyssal dominion of Jotunnthar. Masters of forbidden Marad runes, they serve an ancient evil long imprisoned beneath the world, and now they hunt for Corcaelus with a purpose far more sinister than power.
The cursed and the damned. The hunted and the hunters.
All roads now lead to Shinar.
And beneath its skies, fate waits to be broken.
