The Legend of Milan and the WitchThis is a story about my neighbor and a witch who killed animals in the form of a dog. People said a dog would come and sniff a sheep or a goat, and it would immediately fall dead. My neighbor Milan said: "Lock up all your dogs and cats, I will stand guard all night if I have to." In the dead of night, he saw a dog coming to the pen where the sheep were. As soon as the dog sniffed a sheep, it fell dead. Milan fired 3 bullets and the dog squealed. Not long after, neighbor Ljubo raised an alarm with his wife, saying that Ljubo's mother fell from the attic. She was going to get some pršut to eat. Ljubo added: "What was the devil carrying her to the attic at this hour?" Milan knew that the old woman Anđa had taken his bullet. He knew that she was a witch. THE END
