Wieght of a single day
"You are upset today. Did something happened? Raner approached Keya. She was sitting quiet in a corner beside water tank. Raner could hear she was upset .
"It's bizarre. What would have happened to this poor girl," he thought himself. Keya turned her back. She was not in talking mood. Rayner sat quietly. He could not continue watching her sulking like that . He entered in water tank and brought an ice block. Later he covered it in Keya 's scarf and kept it on her head. She stopped crying and next moment she was fine.
"Today was aweful " She screamed to feel better. "I was punished for being late even though I was just helping senior to pick up paper in front of teacher." she slightly tilted while Raner stand behind her ."And after I arrived home . " she continued. "I found my sister was hosting a funeral because my precious cat was hit by a car. She was my soulmate forever. It was not enough that my mom delivered news from Ruvania that she is marrying her boyfriend next week". Raner quietly pressed the ice block on her head. " Calm down , I will listen till end " . Keya sighed in relief.
"Well, I have told you before that our parents had divorced a long time ago. Yet mom moved on fast while my dad had swear, he will live single forever.And on top of that, Norman is going to college this month. Her eyes dropped and sad expression came again. "I feel like I haven been abandoned" .
Raner softly hit the ice block and it suddenly melted all over her head. He gave a convincing smile . " Slow down, " She looked gleaming at him . "That's a lot to process for me. Raner sighed. "It is, indeed . But do you know what? People have to move in their lives and so will you ." He dried her hair with gentle blow of air. " You have a big heart. You even let your bullies go because it's your last year of middle school and you dont want them to be expelled . But you have to learn to rebel for yourself.As About your parents you cant compare their achievements ,they were never the perfect match but still, Celine and Robert both care about you. And you can visit Norman , call him. And as for your cat lets do a prayer ceremony and curse the driver as much as you like . Now you should cheer up too .
" You are very optimistic Raner. " she burst into laughter. "Were you a fortune teller in your previous life ? you predicted mom's card was in her car and they were .'"
" Gut feeling." Raner chuckled .
Keya' s phone ranged . "Dad must be looking for me." She murmured as she jumped from the wooden block .
"If you feel upset, you can reach me any time, sharing it lightens the burden ." Raner said as he drapped her scarf . "Thank you, Raner." Keya giggled.
Raner Escorted her till stairs as she waved at him and turned her back. He watched descending through stairs.
