The Fall of Melody
Long ago—before music vanished from the world—there existed a radiant land known as the Kingdom of Melody.
In that kingdom, music was not merely art… it was life itself.
Songs guided the winds through the mountains, soothed the rivers, awakened the forests, and painted the night sky with an unseen glow. Every living thing moved in harmony with its rhythm.
And the people… lived in peace.
At the heart of the kingdom stood the royal palace, where King Gizariko ruled with wisdom and unwavering strength.
By his side was Queen Anasira—a woman admired by all… yet truly known by none.
Because she was not entirely human.
She was born from an ancient lineage known as the Music Fairies—guardians of the Seven Sacred Sounds… the forces that held the balance of the world.
Fire.
Water.
Wind.
Earth.
Light.
Darkness.
…and the rarest of them all—
Harmony.
For many years, balance remained untouched.
But peace… never lasts forever.
On a moonless night, darkness descended upon the kingdom.
The music… faltered.
The winds fell silent.
And then—
He appeared.
Zarkan.
A sorcerer whose very presence bent the air around him.
“I see now…” his cold voice echoed across the sky,
“This world is built on weakness.”
The palace gates shattered as his army surged forward like a tide of shadows.
King Gizariko stepped forward, gripping his sword.
“You will go no further,” he declared, his voice firm.
“This kingdom will never bow to you.”
Zarkan smirked.
“Music… freedom… balance…” he mocked.
“All meaningless.”
His eyes burned with darkness.
“Power is not meant to be shared…”
A pause.
“It is meant… to be taken.”
The battle was short.
But it was merciless.
Flames devoured the palace.
Screams tore through the night.
Magic clashed against steel.
And then—
Everything changed.
The king fell.
His sword slipped from his hand as his body hit the ground.
“Anasira…” he whispered, his fading gaze searching for her,
“Protect… the heir…”
And then—
Silence.
The last note of music… disappeared.
The kingdom burned.
The people cried out in despair.
“No…!”
“The music—it’s gone!”
Only silence remained.
Zarkan walked through the flames and sat upon the shattered throne.
“From this moment forward…” his voice echoed across the land,
“Music… is forbidden.”
The crowd froze.
Hope died instantly.
“Anyone who sings…” he continued slowly,
“Anyone who dares to play a melody…”
His gaze darkened.
“Will be executed.”
Fear spread like poison.
“This world will no longer be ruled by chaos,” he said coldly.
“But by silence.”
And so—
The Kingdom of Melody… became the Kingdom of Silence.
That same night, deep within the forest—
Queen Anasira ran.
Her breath was uneven. Her body trembled.
But she did not stop.
Not while she still held her child.
“My son…” she whispered, clutching him close,
“I won’t let them take you.”
Behind her—
Footsteps.
Closer.
Closer.
Until—
She reached the edge of a cliff.
Below her: endless darkness.
Ahead of her: death.
She closed her eyes.
“So this… is where it ends.”
Silence.
Then—
She opened them again.
“No…”
A whisper.
“This is where it begins.”
Holding her child tightly, she began to sing.
A forbidden melody.
An ancient spell known only to the Music Fairies.
“O power beyond the veil… hear my call…
I command thee… for I am thy queen…
Come to me… stand by my side…
Release my power… protect my child…
I give my life… for his fate…
Keep him safe… I know what I do…
Let him live…
For he is… the last heir…”
A golden light erupted from her voice.
The air trembled.
Reality itself bent.
And from that light—
Another child appeared.
Identical.
Perfect.
With trembling hands, she placed the real child inside a hidden box among the trees.
Tears filled her eyes.
“Live…” she whispered softly.
“And bring back the music… to this world.”
When the soldiers arrived, they found her standing still—
Holding the false child.
“It’s over,” one of them said.
She smiled.
A sad… peaceful smile.
And then—
She stepped back.
And fell.
The soldiers believed the royal bloodline had ended that night.
That no heir remained.
That hope… had died.
But deep within the forest…
A child still lived.
And with him—
The last note…
of a forgotten song.
