Compelling take on a captive bride story
"This story is a take of the trope of ‘captive bride’ set in the viking lands of Scandinavia. Expect power imbalance, tears, discipline, and the drama that comes from being forced into a new role in a new country. This story is 10% action, 50% drama and 40% spicy romance. The female lead (Maeve) is a compelling character who holds onto her spirit and morals with determined courage. Her captor Ragnar is flawed but also deeply committed to his own understanding of justice. I found the dialogue in chapter 7 particularly engaging. Very worth reading!! 🎥 Single perspective - the female lead 🤬 Some incidental swearing. 🔪 Some action violence. 💋 Some graphic sex scenes. 🔚 No cliff hangers. "
