The Madison House

As it was a bright sunny day in the city of New Orleans. The birds were chirping and kids were heading to their school. There lived a family of 3. Amy and her parents. 

Amy was in 5th grade and her parents were both working as her dad whose name was Josh, he was in construction and her mother whose name was Kelly, who worked as a doctor. They were living happy family life.

Amy was a bright student in school. On a particular day her parents decided to leave their current residence into a better neighborhood which was rather far from their current location but it was closer to her school.

Amy had trouble accepting the fact that they would have to leave the current residence. Amy didn’t want to leave her friends.

Her parents started packing the items as they were about to shift in 2 weeks as that house was very spacious and in a better neighborhood.

As time passed swiftly and the time was here for the time to leave the house behind and the neighbors came for a send off and they left with heavy heart especially Kelly and Amy.

As Amy sat at the backseat of the facing the house as she was waving her friends goodbye with glassy eyes and saw them until they became faint.

Within half and hour they reached the house it was grand as it had it own lawn and Amy’s eyes couldn’t glance away from the sight she was seeing as a “wow” escaped her mouth.

As they unloaded the boxes and kept Amy kept sprinting all across the house checking every nook and corner of the house. It had its own swimming pool in the backside of the house.

It had multiple features which her previous house didn’t have. It had automated curtain and many other features such as a mini movie theatre. As Amy was checking every corner of the house.

Her eyes caught a glimpse of a door which was in the kitchen area. It was leading to the basement and it was giving eerie vibes to her and an unforseen force was pulling her towards that door. As she approached the door briskly to turn the knob.

Someone grabbed her hand. Which gave her a static feeling all over her body. As she gave a look over to who grabbed her hand. It was an old man.

Amy suddenly pulled away her hand from the knob and saw him from top to bottom. He looked like someone who could be a gardener.

She thought maybe her parents had hired a gardener for their lawn. So she asked him

Amy - "Why did you grab my hand, who are you?”

Old man- “I am the gardener of this house. My name is Jack. What is your name kid?

Amy- "My name is Amy Madison, My parents have recently purchased the house. Why did you touch my hand and stopped me from opening the door?”

Jack the gardener- "Okay Princess, One thing I would like you to tell your parents and you too. Is to not open that door.”

Amy- “But, why?”

Jack the gardener- "Yeah, No one opens that door. If you open that door bad things will happen to your family. Okay princess will you pass the message to your family.”

Amy-“Okay, I will tell my parents right now.”

As Amy headed towards the living room there her parents were still unpacking all the stuff. Amy went straight to her dad and said to not open the door which is in our kitchen.

Dad - "Why is that sweetheart?”

Amy- "Our gardener said to not open it as bad things will happen to us.”

Dad - “Okay sweetheart whatever you say.”

Dad still was busy unpacking all the stuff. She headed towards her mother and told the same thing which she said to her dad.

Mom-“Okay sweetheart, why don’t you help us unpacking?”

Amy-“Okay, Mom.”

So the day went off without a hitch. Nothing out of the blue happened during the entire day.But they were totally unaware about the hidden secrets of the house.
