CHAPTER 0 /The setting: Cremona
The story opens in the island nation of Cremona, a place where high-tech surveillance meets old-world European charm. But the peace is a lie. A vigilante, dubbed "Killer B" by the media, is hunting criminals that the law cannot reach, leaving a cryptic symbol at every crime scene.
The Main Characters
Keith "Geni" Flick: A legendary detective who has been in "reclusion" for years. He is unkempt, eccentric, and obsessed with complex mathematical formulas. He doesn't just see clues; he sees the underlying patterns of the world.
Koku: A quiet, mysterious young man working at a violin shop. On the surface, he is shy and helpful, but he hides a supernatural identity: a being with a transformation that grants him a jet-black wing and a blade for an arm.
Lily Hoshina: A bright, energetic, and highly capable investi gator for the RIS (Royal Investigative Service). She is the "ground" to Keith’s "clouds," often being the only one who can keep up with his erratic brilliance.
