A story worth getting lost in its morning sunset

"This is the type of book that makes you want to grab a cup of coffee, bury yourself in cushions or a couch, and read as much as you want because it's comforting, as real as it gets when it comes to emotions... and has a lot of tension. The way each scene transitions to another, how the everyday life of the female main character is chef's kiss, and how it is described is as real as it gets. The writing gives us this complex character who works through her day with different thoughts and struggles, portraying her feelings and duties in a way that makes her feel very realistic. Her motherhood, and her emotions and thoughts toward their baby, are so emotionally good and adorable, and add so much depth to her. The writer is a master at writing comforting scenes and is also a master at breaking that comfort with great tension! This story has lots of great supporting characters! All of them are very well-written, and all of them bring different vibes and emotions to the table with different personalities. Following their exchanges is so enjoyable. The story is also deep, which adds much more depth to the characters' emotions and their lives, and the female main character is so relatable."

Morning Sunset

"I'm only ten chapters in so I will update this review once I finish reading, BUT this story is amazing! The author has such a way with words. The scenes are easy to picture and every sentence is beautifully crafted. I catch myself feeling what Emma is feeling. I absolutely love the tension between her and Lucas (who I can't wait to find out more about). Not to mention the chemistry between Emma and Alex (I think they'd be so cute together). The suspense is built nicely and keeps you wanting more. "

hold me back!

"The grammar, wordplay, and overall vocabulary is very fun and easy to follow along with! The story does start out like a little slow burn to show the family and friend dynamics which I found really nice, and the way that the author wrote the scenes with the baby were just so adorable! Now for the drama: GIRL HOLD ME BACK CUZ HE PISSIN ME OFF LMAO. There is definitely gonna be a love triangle stemming from this, and the characters are realistic and complex which is another thing I love about it. Please check it out, cuz it'll probably send you through an emotional roller coaster like it did me!"

Deep, character-driven romance

"A deeply captivating story that masterfully draws you in from the very first page. At its core, the narrative shines in its raw, honest exploration of the imperfections of human relationships and the intricate emotional tug-of-war we face when life forces us to make painful choices. Dana writes beautifully about the internal conflict between heart and reason—that agonizing space where your mind tells you to do what is right, yet your heart refuses to let go. Emma’s journey to build a peaceful, stable present, anchored by the lingering shadows of her past, feels intimately relatable. The story reminds us that no matter how carefully we construct our lives or try to follow the path of logic, love is an uncontrollable force that we simply cannot fight. With a grounded, atmospheric tone, rich character dynamics, and an undercurrent of emotional suspense, this book hits every right note. It leaves you reflecting on forgiveness, second chances, and the beautiful, messy reality of human connection. Highly recommended for anyone who loves deep, character-driven romance and drama! "

So many welcome quite moments... and then exciting bombshells!

"Morning Sunset: The Quiet Between Storms is definitely not the type of book I usually pick up. And yet I found myself getting pulled into the story as I lived the sweet moments with Emma and her family, the hilarious times with her friends, and the drama from her ex. This story is a true depiction of a woman who has been through a lot, and who has many blessings in her life. Her family is relatable and brought up memories so vivid that I could tell Dana has either lived them herself, known someone who does, or researched it thoroughly. Every moment with Emma's family was relatable and authentic. Emma's friends are the kind of people you'd want to hang out with. They cheer her on, support her, are completely in her corner, and go the extra mile. They are there when she needs them. They are the kind of friends I'd keep around. The drama with her ex is palpable and tragic, and you feel every heartbreak that she experiences. The story is beautifully, vividly, and vulnerably told. Loved the book! #IC10 and #ICBC"

Emotions, wonderful locations and twists!!

"I've been following Emma's story like a friend now. I immediately identified with her. You can feel her emotional development through the chapters. Her relationship with Lucas, then André, and now Alex, which I think will be truly emotional! The plot is one of those that makes you feel good, but it's full of twists and turns. The settings are always wonderfully described. It's a story everyone should have on their reading list🖤 It's an ongoing story so I haven't finished reading it but I can say one thing for sure: I'll read it all hoping it never ends⭐️"

Simple yet effective

"This story is a thoughtful exploration of the art of the art of living skillfully woven into a narrative that consistently commands attention. The author strikes a delicate balance between introspection and action, creating an atmosphere that feels both compelling and grounded in the characters' reality. The development of the plot's dynamics is particularly impressive—every element feels intentionally placed to serve a greater purpose. Moving with purpose, the story guides us through a complex progression of events, leaving plenty of room for reflection long after the final page. It manages to be both engaging and thought-provoking, a balance rarely achieved with such finesse. Certainly a worthwhile read for anyone who appreciates a well-crafted narrative."
