deep dive into rapping and college life!

"This was a pretty fun read if I say so myself! The main character is named Stephanos, a young Greek man who left his life in Greece to study abroad in the United States while bringing along his rapper past/alter ego with him. The humor is pretty good and snarky, and some of the characters make you wanna bonk them with a frying pan lol. It also does a pretty good job at conveying college life with the drama and gossip, and also the setting with the sororities and frats! Also, there is quite the love triangle (or triangles?) going on and whew does the drama get spicy!! I suggest y'all check this out, I really enjoyed it and you will too!"

Honestly, I have absolutely no regrets.

"Umm... I’m honestly not sure how to start this, so let me just begin with the main character, Steph. He is the kind of guy who effortlessly makes girls compete for his attention! I haven’t gotten super far into the story yet, but from what I’ve seen of Steph so far, he is mature, daring, kind-hearted, handsome, and incredibly cool. But if you look at his other side, he is also surprisingly sensitive and deeply protective. And oh my god, Ron! Wow. If someone as hilarious and sweet as him is in your life, boredom wouldn't dare come anywhere near you. I feel like Ron and I share the exact same vibe! Sy is another character I absolutely love—he is so incredibly funny that he literally cracks me up every single time. As for Anna and Natasha, I’ve officially fastened my seatbelt to see what crazy new twists they’re going to bring into Steph’s life! Honestly, every single character introduced so far has such a unique perspective. Even Steph’s uncle and aunt at the beginning were so sweet and lovely. But Greg... man, I seriously wonder if that guy will ever change! Based on a few hints from you (the author) and the way the characters behave, I can sense there’s some deep backstory here—especially between Steph and Anna. I’m so excited to see how that unfolds! Now, let me shower the author with some well-deserved praise! I saw your post yesterday and realized you are way older than me, and I literally held my head in shock like, 'Oh no, what did I do?!' I did tease with you a little bit before... but now honestly, just like the story, I have absolutely no regrets! 😉 It's totally fine, right? You seem to have a really good heart anyway. Jokes apart, you are an absolutely brilliant, excellent writer! The way you capture every single emotion and moment with such intricate detail is so impactful. It completely hooks the readers and forces them to keep turning the pages. Trust me, not everyone can do that! You also seem like a genuinely wonderful person. I knew it the moment you read my very first chapter so thoroughly, even though third-person stories aren't really your style. That meant a lot to me! Alright, have I given a way too long speech now? Let me stop before my fingers start aching from all this typing! Thank you so much, and please keep blessing us with your amazing stories forever! "

It's over already? No!

"*hands on hips* That's not acceptable. You can't leave me hanging like this! We were just getting to the good part. Why was the phone blowing up? What about the other girls? There are too many plots up in the air! I wasn't ready for the story to end. *glances at watch* Tik tok. You'd better write fast, Mister. I'm invested now. If you haven't read this story, what are you waiting for? This is a great coming-of-age story about a Greek student who travels to America for college and finds his "family" in the brotherhood of his fraternity. It's filled with college humor, sexual tension, and all the typical drama that comes with finding out who you are when you're finally out on your own. Now for the technical aspects... The author is not from the US. He uses military time instead of our normal clocks. There will be word choices that may sound a little off, and writing that is more British English than American English. Punctuation isn't always correct. But once you get caught up in the actual story, your mind doesn't focus in on those details as much. I encourage you to give this book a read!"

Joie de vivre!

"Steph is one of the most likable characters I have read in a while, and his experience of moving to the US to study is beautifully captured. The character, all his interactions so far, and even the narrative are tenderly and joyfully optimistic. As a coming-of-age story, mired in joie de vivre, I really enjoyed it. "

This is a must read if you love slow burn stories — you'll have No Regrets reading this story.

"No Regrets is about Stephanos, who moves from Greece to the USA for college. The first captivating thing is how wholesome some of the characters are. they’re incredibly well written, especially the MC. It’s so intriguing to follow his point of view as he enters a completely unfamiliar world and tries his best to fit in and start fresh. Characters are introduced quickly, and in a short time the writer manages to make them interesting. Each one is unique, with different personalities and even distinct accents, which makes them recognizable by the way they speak, it’s amazing. The pacing is slow; this is a slow-burn story, and that’s a must for my taste. Relationships develop slowly and naturally, which makes them feel more realistic. The dialogues are the cherry on top. They’re written masterfully: they convey emotions and accents, and they distinguish each character from the others very well. The writer has a great sense of humor, which makes the funny moments come out naturally and gives the story a lively tone with great references."

An extremely fun college romp

"I didn't have the most traditional college life but if I did, I would want it to be like this. Stephanos is an incredibly endearing main character. We meet him as he begins his life in the United States starting school, and meeting with his distant relatives in the country. He's playful but respectful. Kind but not a pushover. As he begins his journey, we follow along as he meets an extensive cast of characters who all are very unique. Ron, in particular, is a gem and deserves protection from everything bad in the world. His fast friendship with Steph is one of my favourite parts of the story. The writing style is straightforward and easy to follow (which is very important for a neurodivergent gal like myself). The choice of vocabulary throughout the story feels consistent with what a young international student would think and say. The pacing of the story is good, and I found myself very interested in Steph's past, and why he left home, with every chapter that I read. There are minor punctuation issues within the dialogue tags (periods instead of commas) but none of those detract from the story itself and is easily rectified. Honestly, this story is just a whole lot of fun. Lots of laugh out loud moments for me in this one. Steph's character voice is very strong, as are those of the other characters within the book. I'm really looking forward to reading the rest of the story (and its sequels) and when I do, I'll update my and when I do I'll be sure to update my review. Well done, Z!"

No Regrets

"I’ve only read a chapter so far, so I will return and update this review once I finish the book. The pace of the first chapter was excellent! The characters are fantastic. I’m looking forward to reading more to learn about Stephanos and his past. I especially liked how casually you drop piece of his backstory into his internal monologue and the story in general. He seems to be a very understanding character which I love. His Aunt and Uncle lovely too! The writing style is easy to follow and flows beautifully with the vibe of the story so far. Great job! I’m excited to continue reading!#icbc"

A strong character-driven story that is a delight to read.

"Former rapper from Greece Stephanos drops into the college scene, taking the reader with him as he navigates this youthful milestone—embarking on a frat house-centered adventure in America. Steph and the supporting cast of characters are a delightful crew that truly drives the story. Ronnie is a quirky delight of a character, always surprising me with his spontaneous actions and dialogue, often so funny it has me laughing aloud. SY is a loveable older-brother type with his own brand of humor. There are also typical archetypes that elevate these types of stories—a chill but womanizing Prez, the classic ignorant bully who we all love to see get his commupance. And of course, sweet and sassy girl next door types—perhaps future love interests for Steph and the gang? The plot and characters combine so far to create a fun and amusing dive into the experience of college frat boys that lands almost like a modern text twist of the classic movie Animal House. It's difficult to achieve that, but Zehel has successfully brought this dynamic energy to print, and it is such a joy to read. #ICBC"

Likable and funny

"Very pleasant read. I really like the character's voice. The guy is ridiculously likable and funny, and I found myself really enjoying his perspective. You can tell he's been through some tough times, but he's still warm, positive, and genuinely enthusiastic about life. I absolutely envy his level of enthusiasm. I wish I had even half of his energy. 😄 The way he looks at the world makes this such an easy and enjoyable story to get into. Definitely a good read. #ICBC"

A Fresh, Engaging Take on College Life & New Beginnings

"No Regrets hits the ground running and delivers an addictive, entertaining read from chapter one. Zehel captures the excitement, chaos, and charm of starting over in college. Navigating campus culture, rivalries, and fresh starts gives the entire story an immersive college-life vibe. Special shoutout to Ron! He brings such great energy and comic relief to the mix that he makes every scene he’s in a fun ride. No Regrets is absolutely worth the read. Looking forward to Season 2. "

I‘m having a great time— No Regrets on my side

"Steph is a cool guy who's really inclusive. I feel like some people had a great start to their College Life because of him! The story is very engaging and funny. I was grinning several times, and sometimes even wheezed through my nostrils! We should all take a slice of his positivity and learn from him. Crazy that he’s an Orphan. Oh, I hope I didn't give away too much. Anyway, although I think the flirting with several girls at once is a bit much, I still enjoyed it a lot! I just realized that I rarely read from male authors on Inkitt and it was a great experience. #ICBC"

Courage, New Beginnings & Second Chances

"The story follows Steph's journey in a new country as he finds his own path, makes new friends, and encounters people who aren't quite so good. For me, Ron has a special place in this story. He's my favorite, and I think anyone would be lucky to have a friend like him. 😊 I also love how, throughout the chapters, the author plants little seeds of mystery about Steph's past. I have a feeling those secrets will become very important as the story unfolds. As for the romance, I still need to see where it goes, but I have a feeling it's going to get very interesting. 😏 #ICBC"

Really sweet opening (grab your tissue box!)

"The first chapter of this book is so sweet and really tugs at your heart strings. For anyone who has ever been adopted or just grew up not having the ideal parents, this chapter will really tug at your heartstrings. The first chapter is jam packed with lots of exposition, sprinkling in moments from the character's past, and really building your sense of investment and care for this character. I absolutely love the sense of family and I could feel the warmth and love within the words. Really beautiful and tender opening to a great story. The last line of the chapter about longing for something you didn't know you needed really resonated with me. As someone who grew up and had to find a family as adult, I really found the chapter meaningful. Really well done. #ICBC"

Fun, easy read

"This is a great read. It's written in a way I can get into the main character, Steph's mind. That makes it easy to relate and visualise. Quirky characters and dialogue make is a good humourous read. Really something to get into when you need a little escape from stress. I look forward to reading more and the following seasons. #icbc Update: I finished this book and interestingly the camaraderie and supportive environment of what Steph is surrounded with is what struck me. There's a deeper level of things if you look beyond the superficial frat environment. The bromances developing are actually nice to follow along with. "

Through the eyes of the protagonist.

"I've always thought that first person narratives were difficult to write, because my brain wants ALL the details, not just the POV of the protagonist. However, I easily recognize when it this writing style is done well, which this author has done. The opening chapter does an excellent job of introducing us. It offers quick snapshots of what the narrator sees, along with his internal thoughts. Dialoq is added with a seamless quality. As for technical writing, there are a few grammatical errors, all of which are minor and easily fixed and take little from the delightful experience of reading. "

🖤🖤🖤🖤

"An exceptionally engaging and layered work that keeps you hooked from the very first page to the very last line. This book offers a seamless balance between deep character development and a compelling, dynamic plot that makes it impossible to put down. The author skillfully guides the reader through a labyrinth of emotions, prompting deeper reflection on themes that reach far beyond the boundaries of the story itself. What stands out most is the writing style—fluid, evocative, and vivid—effortlessly painting scenes right before the reader's eyes. The characters are far from one-dimensional; their flaws, inner struggles, and motivations are portrayed with remarkable psychological precision, making them easy to relate to. While unexpected twists await you along the way, the true value of this book lies in the lasting message that stays with you long after you close the cover. "

An Encouraging Start

"No Regrets has a heartfelt premise centered on second chances, healing, and finding a place to belong. I enjoyed seeing Stephanos begin a new chapter in his life and meeting characters like Uncle Rich, Aunt Margie, Ron, and Mary, who each bring something different to his journey. It's clear the story values friendship, family, and personal growth, and I'm interested to see how those relationships develop as college life unfolds. Wishing the author the best as the story continues!"

No Regrets

"I thourougly enjoyed reading this story! I was hooked from the first chapter. 🤩Characters In this story we meet Stephanos Ormitis, a Greek underground rapper who decides to make a fresh start in the States. Despite being a (former) bad boy, Steph is a likeable protagonist who is well-rounded. Beside him, we meet an interesting mix of side characters, including but not limited to his new bro Ron, who is hilarious by the way, and the four girls who orbit around him: Anna, Tash, Mary and Vesper. ✨Plot The plot of this story, Steph getting adjusted to his new life and introducing his rapper persona StOrm to the world, while meeting new friends (and enemies) along the way, kept me completely immersed. Though the events only span a week, so much happens! It keeps you on your toes throughout. 🪶Writing style Zehel has an engaging writing style which is relaxing to read. The chapters are smooth and the perfect length for reading on the go. Once you start, you won’t be able to stop! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ In short: you will have no regrets reading this wonderful story! "
