Chapter One – Poor Appetite
The house was small and quiet.
Today felt different.
She sat on the floor, playing with her friendly pet as it moved around happily, but her mind felt far away.
She had many dreams, but her life felt the same every day. She followed the same habits and lived a very controlled lifestyle.
She went to the kitchen and made a simple salad. She had to prepare for an interview. It was lunchtime, but no one was around.
She opened the freezer and looked at the meat inside, unsure if she would be able to cook tonight.
The house was empty, and the silence felt heavy.
Every day, she drank a lot of water, trying to stay healthy. But something was wrong. Her memory was getting worse.
“Important,” she said softly, as if trying to remind herself of something.
Still, she wasn’t sure.
She felt confused about her degree and didn’t know what to do with her future.
