Chapter 1
Chapter One: It Was Not a Dream
At first… I thought it was just a dream.
A white room, quieter than it should be…
No sound, no windows, nothing.
Only me.
I was standing in the middle of it, looking around in confusion, trying to understand how I got there…
But before I could move…
I heard a voice.
— You’re late.
I froze in place.
The voice wasn’t scary… it was strangely calm.
I slowly turned around…
And there was a boy.
Standing a little far away, looking at me as if he knew me.
I felt something I couldn’t explain in my chest…
As if I had seen him before.
— Who are you?
He smiled.
— I knew you would ask that…
Then he said calmly:
— I’m Adam.
…
I woke up suddenly.
My breathing was fast… and my heart was beating strongly.
I looked around. My room. My bed. Everything was normal.
But…
His voice stayed in my head.
As if it hadn’t been a dream.
Chapter Two: He Knows Me
I didn’t sleep easily that night.
Every time I closed my eyes…
I saw his face.
Adam.
The next day, I tried to forget it.
I convinced myself it was just a strange dream… nothing more.
But… when I fell asleep again…
I went back.
The same room.
The same silence.
And him.
He was sitting this time, as if he had been waiting for me.
— I thought you wouldn’t come back.
I took a hesitant step forward.
— You… how…?
He interrupted me with a slight smile:
— You like coffee… but you don’t drink it often.
I froze.
— How do you know that?!
He looked at me steadily:
— Because I know you.
I stayed silent.
I hadn’t told him anything.
I had never met him before.
And yet…
He spoke as if he knew every detail of my life.
At that moment…
I felt something strange.
Not fear…
But… closeness.
Chapter Three: Between Him and Me
I started waiting for sleep.
For him.
I was no longer afraid of that place…
In fact, it started to feel safer than my real life.
One night, I asked him:
— Why me?
He looked at me for a long moment… then said:
— Because you’re the only one who was able to reach.
— Reach what?
He stepped closer.
And my heart… started beating faster.
— Me.
I stayed silent, unable to respond.
Then I asked in a low voice:
— Where are we?
This time… he didn’t smile.
He looked tense.
— I don’t know.
— What do you mean you don’t know?!
He ran his hand through his hair, as if trying to remember…
— All I know… is that I was somewhere else…
Then he suddenly looked at me:
— But since you appeared… everything changed.
I felt a chill.
— What do you mean?
He came closer…
And said quietly, in a frightening tone:
— I’m starting to feel… that this isn’t a dream.
