Cyrille is one of the most well-constructed female leads in this genre, independent without being detached, warm without being naive, strategic without losing her humanity. The slow burn never felt slow because every chapter was doing actual work. The MC world felt lived-in and earned, the relationships layered, and the tension, both romantic and otherwise, handled with real restraint and craft.
