The Rustling

It was a normal day when three ghost hunters—Rohan, Aarav, and Vihaan—decided to explore an abandoned village they had seen online. Locals warned them not to go, but curiosity got the better of them.

One old man finally told them the story.

Years ago, a boy was born in that village. His mother died at birth, and soon after, his father also passed away. Anyone who tried to care for him met a strange fate. The villagers grew afraid and began to believe the boy was cursed.

When he was ten, he had only one friend. One day, they went near an old well… but only the boy returned. His friend was never seen again.

The villagers were convinced—this boy was the cause of everything.

Out of fear, they took him deep into the jungle and left him there. Days later, they found signs of blood and assumed he had died. Thinking they were finally safe, they returned to their lives.

But they were wrong.

The boy survived.

Something changed him.

Over time, he became something else—something not fully human. A figure of straw, silence, and anger. A watcher of the fields.

And one by one… the villagers disappeared.

Since then, people whisper about The Rustling Man—a figure that moves with the sound of dry leaves… always watching.

Ignoring the warning, the three friends entered the village at 11 PM, recording everything.

At first, it felt empty. Just broken houses, silence, and wind.

Then came the sound.

A faint… rustling.

They tried to laugh it off and decided to split up to cover more ground.

Rohan walked toward the river after hearing a faint cry for help. The sound echoed through the darkness. Something felt off… but he moved closer.

The rustling grew louder.

And then—

Silence.

Vihaan, exploring near the old well, heard a sudden noise behind him. He turned, but there was nothing there. The well, dry for years, suddenly made a strange sound.

He stepped closer.

The rustling returned.

Something moved.

Aarav, now alone, began to feel something was wrong. The silence was too heavy. He called out for his friends, but only his own voice echoed back.

Then he saw something in the distance.

A tall figure.

Still.

Watching.

The sound of dry straw shifting in the wind filled the air.

Aarav didn’t wait—he ran.

And he didn’t stop until he reached safety.

He told everything to the police. The footage later spread online—some people believed it, others called it fake.

But one thing remained unknown.

No one truly knows what the Rustling Man is.

And sometimes, in quiet fields at night…

you can still hear the rustling.
