“A Ticket to Fate”
The sky hung in a quiet gloom above St. Elora Airfield International Airport, the main hub of the elite fictional country known as Ardenmoor.
A woman moved through the long airport corridor, her hands trembling ever so slightly. Her footsteps echoed against the polished floor as she hurried forward—almost running—as if chasing time before the door of opportunity slammed shut.
Her breath came in uneven bursts, her small suitcase rattling behind her, keeping pace with her frantic strides. Clutched tightly in her hand was a plane ticket, crumpled at the edges, as though silently begging to be carried into the sky.
Her name was Liza Whitney.
She wasn’t tall, but not exactly petite either. Her skin was pale—milky white—standing in contrast to the turquoise blouse she wore. Paired with white trousers and matching high heels, her appearance was polished, formal… and slightly dramatic for a moment as urgent as this.
Liza rushed from one end of the departure hall to the other, trying to read the directions on the digital screens. But everything blurred together under the weight of her panic.
Until she finally stopped.
Her breathing turned ragged. She lowered her head, pressing her fingers to her temple before glancing at her wristwatch—the seconds seemed to be moving faster than usual today.
What she didn’t realize…
was that somewhere not too far away, a pair of eyes had been watching her.
Not from a distance too great but just enough to observe without being noticed.
A man stood there in silence, unmoving, barely blinking.
His name was Renner Draven.
There was something about the way Liza ran the way she kept glancing at her watch while trying to hold herself together—that made Renner freeze.
Beside him stood his three younger siblings. Vine, his second younger brother. Jane, his third sibling and the only sister. And lastly, Louis—the youngest, effortlessly handsome.
Yet in that moment, Renner wasn’t truly with them.
He was elsewhere.
Lost in his own gaze.
That first look—strangely—felt like déjà vu.
There was something unfamiliar about it… and yet, at the same time, deeply familiar.
As if the world itself was whispering to him—
Look closely, Renner.
This is the beginning of a story you never saw coming.
