Epilogue - The Great Transfer
Tonight was supposed to be like how every other night went. It was supposed to be an ordinary night in Shibuya Crossing. Where people would wait and cross the busy streets and go through their lovely evening. Many were on the phones, others were conversing with their friends or families. Everything was normal, until someones phone started to glitch.
“Huh? What’s wrong with my phone?” The man question as he tried pressing a few buttons on his flip phone to type something. Though when he did his phone types the opposite of what he intentionally typed.“Is it broken…?”
“Hey what’s up with my phone!”
“Hello? H-Hello? Can you still hear me?”
It was not just the man’s phone that was acting out, other peoples phones also start to malfunction as well. But it was not just phones, other electronic appliances such as TV’s that were on few of the buildings, advertising build boards, lights from inside the stores, and traffic lights, which later caused a couple of cars to stop and unfortunately crash each other.
“Hey what the hell?!”
“What is going on?!”
“Quit honking your horn at me! I’m equally as pissed off as you are!”
Many lights start to blink on and off while while some advertising screens and TV’s start to glitch and make static noises. People are in a panic as to what on earth is happening right now. Then, one of the pedestrians suddenly yelled and pointed up.
“Look! Up in the sky!”
Then everyone in the vicinity all looked straight up at the night sky, and their faces were instantly shocked. What they saw was not the small white stars on the sky but dark clouds start to form and white thunder begins to struck. After a bunch of other clouds formed, they all split in half and opened up a huge rift that on the other side, lies a completely different world. There were buildings just like down here but instead they are all different shades of white and gray with a rose-like color outlining them.
“What in the world…”
“Mama I’m scarred…”
“It’s OK baby I’m here, just stay close OK?”
“Hey something’s coming out of that thing!”
Once more, everyone looked up and saw huge digital-like eggs coming out of the rift and start to descend slowly. They have numerical code rings around them. Their shell made out of pure data, and a bar code at the center of it.
“…” We then see a 5-year old boy starring at all the eggs coming down. He was wearing a simple black T-shirt with brown cargo shorts and black sneakers.
“So big…” Was what the boy said as he eyed at one of the eggs before one of them started to crack and what came out of that egg was something that would change the course of his life forever.
