PROLOGUE

Maggie took a look around the Brother’s Code Club. The bar is lovely, and it caters to the likes of partygoers like her. While looking at the dancers, she had earlier noticed a man who keeps on glancing at her.

The man continues to stare at her, almost never taking his gaze away. She had to admit that he is attractive, well-shaped, tall, and appears to be good in bed.

She didn’t want to hook up with him because she come here to have fun and not to fish for a man. Maggie is not the type of woman a man would easily take to bed. She appears liberated, but she is still a virgin.

“Let’s make a deal, Maggie.” She looked at her friend, Miles.

“Spill it,” Maggie responded.

“Have you seen that guy over there?” Miles asked, pointing to the man who had previously been staring at Maggie. “Doesn’t he keep staring at you?”

“And?”

“He is Blaze Gonzales, a friend of the owner of this bar and one of the proprietors of Brother’s Code Advertising and Commercial Company. Among their pals, he is the most elusive to women, unlike his buddies, who take different ladies to bed every day, except for their only lady, Diana Dane Dy.”

“Diana Dane Dy? Isn’t she Dylan’s sister?”

“Yes,” Miles said, smiling. “Anyway, he seldom talks to ladies and even less frequently takes women to bed, but my source claims that he is wonderful in bed and that every lady falls in love with him because of his performance. Well, he and his pals are all fantastic in bed.”

“What do you want me to do, and what is the prize?”

“He rejected me several times. I want vengeance but don’t know-how. If you can kiss him tonight, I will give you my Ferrari.”

“Just kiss? Are you kidding me? That’s a piece of cake for me.”

“Well...if you can make him fall in love with you and then dump him, I’ll give you the one you’ve been asking for a long time.”

“The Paloma Resort?” She asked, shocked about the prize.

“Yes.”

“Are you serious?”

“Yeah, I don’t need that resort at all, but I’m not going to give it to you easily, so you’ll have to earn it. I want Blaze to devour his ego, and I know you can do it.”

“You’re not making fun of me, right?”

“Yes,” she said, looking in Blaze’s direction. “Don’t tell me you can’t? C’mon, a famous Maggie Dela Merced, a heartbreaker who always gets every male crazy over her, can’t get a Blaze Gonzales? Or don’t tell me you’re worried that you’ll be the one who falls for him?”

“Me? C’mon Miles, are you aware of the single person that I’ve ever been serious with?

“Can you then make Blaze fall in love with you and then abandon him?”

“Of course I can. Deal,” Miles did not expect on her replied. “I’ll make sure he falls for me, and I’ll go to any length for that fucking resort.”

“Don’t fall for him,” Miles said, “or you’ll be miserable.”

“That won’t happen.” And turned her gaze to Blaze. “He will chase me, and I’ll take over your resort.”
