Vampires, Secrets, and Suspense: A Promising Start
"Even with only five chapters published so far, this dark fantasy novel has completely captured my attention. The story combines vampires, a university campus setting, and a murder mystery that immediately creates an intriguing atmosphere. The multiple POVs make the narrative engaging and dynamic, allowing readers to see the events from different perspectives. The characters feel authentic, and some moments are unexpectedly funny, which provides a nice contrast to the darker themes. The author is clearly very talented. Her writing is immersive, making it easy to get lost in the story, and the suspense builds naturally with every chapter. Each update leaves me eager to find out what happens next. So far, this has been a captivating read, and I would definitely recommend it to readers who enjoy dark fantasy, mystery, and supernatural stories. I can't wait to read more."

A witty and suspenseful read.
"I found the dialogue witty, the description short and punchy, and the characters were well laid out with fitting lines. It keeps you in suspense. I really enjoyed reading this, I'm currently on chapter 4. I'm going to savour reading chapter 5 or I'll run out of story to read. I hope I don't have to wait too long for more."
Stylistic and Mysterious
"For me personally for any work there are three main factors that determine whether or not I enjoyed the work and how well it tells it story in general. My review will focus on these three aspects while mentioning other traits in passing. Characters: The cast for this story is probably the strongest element by far. The Coven as it were, are a believable group of friends, and the personalities are balanced well. From the aloof and pragmatic Cain, the emotional and driven Malek, down to even the goofy yet loyal Elijah. They feel real, not merely arch types but actual people with emotional depth and complex motivations. And the dialogue does a good job in feeling like younger adults speaking. And there's some subtle story telling using the dialogue. Pacing: This is another big one, regardless of what kind of story we're telling pacing will be what decides if we retain readers. And is something I can struggle with in my own writing. Yet again this feels pretty spot on for the story. The author seems to know when to take their time to build, or set a more blitzing pace that leaves us asking questions. The use of frequent (but reasonable) cliffhangers is probably the best example of such and is something I utilize myself. The author has done well in giving enough time to build up concepts and characterization, without feeling as though their slowing down the plot to do so. Style: This one can be harder to define. Style is something usually inherent or even unintended. And am happy to say there is a noticeable and intentional flair with that here. The vampires are done well, seeming somewhat beyond their years, but also allowing their biology to affect how they behave and rect rather well. There's this nice contrasting lighter tone used often in the story, well used to make more dark moments a little easier to get by. And in general the story does well in keeping a more youthful style. Finally I leave my hopefully helpful advice for last in areas we can improve. Luckily this is rather well done so I don't have much to say but I can offer a couple of suggestions. Firstly the world building is solid and I can tell were drip feeding details here. But it could be explored a little more in depth, just so we can understand the context. Now I've only read what's available so it could be very well turn out to be addressed well over time. I'll have to see as I continue to read, which I will be doing. Finally I feel as though the Zora early on behavior wise comes across just a tad bit daff. This does feel intentional, specifically to build her up to make what happens to her all the more tragic. That being said it does feel intentional and didn't really take me out of it. Just wanna say well done, always happy to support a fellow black content creator and happy to say I enjoyed reading this so far and intend to finish it fully (eventually lol). "
