"I'm very new to this site, but I started reading this story and was hooked quickly. It is a very unique genre; I went in expecting fantasy, but it felt more like historical fiction in a non-magical, fantasy setting, but I really liked that. I became invested in the journey of the main character. She was well-written and fleshed out but she didn't fall into the "strong female" trope, and I mean that in the best possible way. I also got sucked into the love story. It was sweet and slow-burn. I thought the world building was strong, and I had very vivid images of the different settings depicted in the story. My only "critique" is that I actually feel like it could be two or even three separate stories. There were a few aspects - such as the main character's time as a healer, and the political dynamics of the monarchy - that I would like to know more about. It wasn't that these things were underdeveloped here, I just wanted even more info. But I also think the fact that I actually want to read more about this world and these characters is a sign of just how strong the work is!"
Greatest love story
"I loved the way the author infused the characters with all the emotions that transpired through them and let the readers feel them through words, I specially liked that the end was not forth written and kept me on edge without loosing hope, thank you for a wonderful love story though not devoid of pain and suffering beautiful in its honesty"

"This story was so beautifully written and I was so absorbed in the characters and having to know what happens next. The author has created such fleshed out characters I feel as if I really know them and what drives their actions, so whilst I didn't predict what came next it didn't feel out of character or come out the blue. I was really rooting for them the whole way and finally a romantic lead who is actually worth the trouble! The places are described so vividly I could picture everything in my mind and it was so genuine I could believe in it all. A longer book than I usually read but so worth it, would've read it in one go if I could have! "
Worth every chapter
"I cannot fathom how amazing this story was. The feeling that was expressed with such detail and vivid imagery will remain with me for a long time. This book made me laugh aloud several times and even made me tear up a few times. I was so invested in their story that I lost count of how many times I stayed up much too late because I had to find out weekday happened next! One of my all time favorite stories! 💜"
An excellent novel
"A beautifully written romantic tale with well crafted detail and intimate moments described with subtle delicacy. The story flows from drama to heartbreak, yearning to bliss leading the reader to eagerly pass to the next chapter. A long book with a slow burn but well worth the read. Hopefully more to come from this talented author."

I’d suggest deepening the mystery around the king and Harun, giving Leofwyn a stronger personal goal or conflict, and tightening a few descriptions so the story moves more quickly."
