Compelling Storytelling and Deep Character Building

"After reading the first six chapters, I’m genuinely impressed by the atmospheric world-building and the solid narrative pace. The prose is very well-crafted; it has a rhythmic quality that keeps you engaged. What stood out to me most was the character depth—these aren't just figures moving through a plot, but individuals with distinct inner voices and believable struggles. The way the 'luck factor' is integrated as a subtle mystery is quite clever. It adds a constant layer of tension that drives the story forward without feeling overdone. It’s a great example of how to balance an intriguing concept with authentic human emotions. I’m looking forward to seeing how the story develops. It’s a very high-quality and enjoyable read!"

The Last Lamb of Swanson St

"This is already strong. I’d just tighten a few sentences for flow and clarity: “As a fellow KDrama enthusiast, I really like the concept. The coin siphons luck, which begs the question: why didn’t it do so for Mr. Wu? I like your writing style and your metaphors are brilliant. Solid world building and descriptions as Maya moves through different locations. You can almost feel the grime and neglect in the dementia unit. Maya’s character is accepting but not defeatist, showing the backbone she’ll presumably need when dealing with Mr. Chen. (Did you base him on Arthur Chen?) Your first couple of chapters are quite long, so I would consider splitting them. I mentioned in one of the comments that you write in first person but occasionally have paragraphs that slip into third-person omniscient. I would either remove those paragraphs or fully commit to third-person omniscient. For aesthetics, I’d also try to keep paragraph sizes reasonably consistent, especially for readers on phones. All in all, a great start and I look forward to the next chapter.”"

Don't mean to toot my own horn but

"As a new Author, its rough starting out. If you have a spare 5 minutes I would appreciate you giving my work your attention. I beleive my story is unique, gritty and gives us that romance slow burn in a unique urban fantasy. 10/10 🤣"
