3 Jake: It's all my fault! I should've stopped Leon. I have powers. I'm supposed to protect this family.

4 Diane: No, no. It's not your fault, Jake. I should've ran with the kids. Go somewhere safe instead of waiting in the backyard.

Great. I found nothing and I have to leave.

3 Jake: I'm leaving.

PAGE 8

Panel 1: At dawn. Jake is sitting on the ground, leaning against a wall outside of a closed library.

1 Librarian: Are you ok, man?

2 Jake: Just open the Library.

Panel 2: As soon as the librarian opens the library, Jake rushes into it and starts looking through books. He throws away the books he doesn't need. The Librarian picks up the books Jake throws.

3 Librarian: Come on, man! You can't throw books like that.

Panel 3: Jake finds an interesting looking book and opens to read it.

1 Jake: "The legend of Tomas Collen: the cold wizard" huh... maybe this is useful.

2 Jake: Blah, blah, blah... "Thomas Collen is a powerful wizard"...Yeah, yeah.... "he lives in New York mountain". That is my place.

PAGE 9

Panel 1: Jake is walking on NY mountain. The deep snow makes him walk slowly.

1 Jake: There's so much snow, and I'm only at the base of the mountain. (Let out a cold steam breath).

2 Jake: I better put on warmer clothes.

Panel 2: Jake is standing in front of the front door of a bungalow. Waves of blizzard wind blow on Jake as he knocks on the door.

1 Jake: I hope... I'm in the right p-p-place. It's s..so c-cold... is he causing this?

2 Thomas(off): Hello. Are you lost? People don't come here often.

3 Jake: Are you Thomas Collen the wizard?

4 Thomas(off): Indeed, I am. Why?

5 Jake: I need you to teach me how to fight.

6 Thomas(off): Teach you how to fight? Not Teach you magic? I'm not sure why you thought an old wizard could teach you how to fight. But since you're already here. You may come in. I can't let you stay out in the cold.

Panel 3: Thomas leads Jake to his training room, walking through the living room.

1 Jake: You are a legend according to some books.

2 Thomas: I HAD my time. Decades ago. Therefore, I won't be hopeful about me teaching you how to fight.

3 Jake: I'll take what I can get.

4 Thomas: Very well then.

Panel 4: Thomas hands Jake a staff from his storage of weapons.

1 Jake: What am I supposed to do with a staff? You can't fight with it. It's just a big stick, useless, weak. I can't hurt anyone with it nor protect myself.

2 Thomas: You're wrong. A staff can be a powerful weapon, when you use it currently. You see, people tend to underestimate weapons that aren't sharp like a sword, an Axe or a Flail. But sharp weapons aren't the only useful ones.

3 Jake: How do I use a staff then?

4 Thomas: You could use it to block attack, use it for movement, attack, defense, a tool. Let me show you. Punch me.

PAGE 10

Panel 1: Small panel. Thomas takes back the staff from Jake. Tomas swings his staff low at Jake hitting the side leg.

1 Thomas: And what is your opinion on a staff now?

2 Jake: Fine... I was wrong. Staff can be helpful. And painful.

3 Thomas: You can have it back. Now that you learned not to underestimate things without previous knowledge, for the next lesson. I need you to sweep this room.

4 Jake: Are you serious? I'm not some karate child.

5 Jake: I-im a grown man. I came to learn how to fight, not to do chores.

6 Thomas: You also said you will take what you can get.

7 Jake(small bubble. small text from whispering angrily): I did say that...

8 Jake: ...Alright, I'll get started with the sweeping.

Panel 4: Jake sweeps the floor unwillingly still mad about needing to do chores.

1 Thomas: And when you're done sweeping the floor. Dust the ceiling with the broom.

2 Jake: Will do.

1 Jake: Are you kidding me?! I fell from that? Why am I even doing this!

2 Jake(bursting): Thomas!

3 Thomas(off): Uh... yes?

4 Jake: These chores are not doing anything good.

5 Thomas(off): I disagree. This room is looking clean now. But if you don't see it, allow me to demonstrate. Just don't expect me to do so all the time.

PAGE 12

Panel 1: Thomas hits a dummy several times with the stuff using the same motions Jake used to sweep the floor.

1 Thomas: You see? Sweeping the floor.

Panel 2: Thomas hits the dummy several times with the staff using the same motions Jake used to dust the ceiling.

1 Thomas: Dusting the ceiling. Now you understand?

2 Jake: I do get it now. So you're giving me chores to--

3 Thomas: To develop muscle memory of motion for fighting. Now, if you're done, dust the ceiling. I need you to sweep my library.

4 Jake: Another room? Do I REALLY have to build muscle memory by doing chores?

5 Thomas: It helps me. And you.

6 Jake: Fine. I'll sweep your library.

Panel 3: At Thomas's library. Jake is sweeping the floor while Thomas is sitting in the corner, drinking tea.

1 Thomas: You're doing a great job sweeping the floor.

2 Jake: Yeah... Great…

Panel 4: The floor turns into ice from a spell Thomas is whispering. Jake slips and almost falls from the ice but he uses the broom to make a small hole in the floor and hold himself.

1 Jake: What was that?

2 Thomas: I don't know what you're talking about.

3 Thomas(small bubble. Small text from whispering): verschwinde ice floor.

2 Diane: How about Marshmallows? You love them.

3 Ace: I do but I want the Gummy worms this time. No wait! Cotton candy. No, no. Actually, I want the Marshmallows. I'm sure.

4 Diane: Alright. I'm buying you a bag of marshmallows. And what do you want, Zane?

Panel 3: Diane holds Zane in her arms for him to pick up a candy. Zane tries to reach towards the Gummy bears.

1 Diane: You want the Gummy bears? I'll get them.

Panel 4: As Diane pays for the candies a woman approaches her with a smile.

1 Allison: Excuse me. I couldn't help but notice that you have two sweet energetic kids. And it seems like you could use a babysitter.

3 Ace: I don't remember her.

4 Diane: Well, it's because I met her yesterday at the Candy store.

5 Ace: The lady with red hair?

6 Diane: Right.

Panel 2: Ace eats the scrambled eggs fast while Diane feeds Zane, when she notices Ace's fast pace she seems exhausted.

1 Diane: Ace, I warned you not to eat fast. You'll give yourself a stomachache.

2 Allison: Sure. I'll see you at Two. Is there anything I should know? Any allergies?

3 Diane: No. I'll write you a to-do list.

4 Allison: Great idea. Bye now.
