A lot of fun that's weirdly thoughtful.
"At first I was like, vampire detective this is cool. Starts with a bang which I like, was hooked early, but it gets thoughtful in places, makes the characters feel real. Makes the world seem a lot bigger, and like there is a lot more stories that can be told here. I low key loved this book, and really really hope the author writes more in this series. HIGHLY recommend. Read it now, tryst me. "

"I wrote this book, I think it's very cool. It's about a vampire detective living open in a world that recently discovered the supernatural world. Think of it like being gay in the 80s, it's normal in some parts of some cities, and still considered a myth in small towns. "
Excellent story
"Vampires are not trusted by humans and a human tries to make it worse by using his blood to ward off vampires. A vampire detective and human detective work together to solve the case"
Mystery
"So it seems to me that the relationship between a vampire and his sire is quite complicated. There's only been hints so far but there is definitely something there. And what's up with Hemlock and why are the fangbashers carrying vials of his blood. I have recommended this book to a friend who loves reading and especially the horror genre. Though to be fair this is not your everyday horror. Once again eagerly awaiting the next chapter. Kudos to the author I'm hooked. "
Vampire Detective! by D I Jolly
"I mean, come on, what more do I have to say. Great author, read all his books, loving this with a passion, so much fun, cannot wait to find out what happens next. Specific feedback... it's a nice setting I like the pacing but I'm hoping it gets a bit more action in the next few chapters, I'd like to see Sebastian cut loose a bit. All in I really liked it, it's pacing stayed even, a bit unexpected in the end which was nice to read and hope it does well enough that he writes more."

It's no secret I'm a fan
"Look, I'll be honest, I'm a HUGE D I Jolly fan, I've got and read all his books. So I'm an easy mark. That said, I'm still really enjoying how fun this is compared to some of his other stuff. The characters so far are light, while the story seems to be touching on some deeper themes, which is very him. I know it's not finished yet, but I'm very much looking forward to where it goes. I'll be updating my review when it's all done and done, I just also love to get more eyes on his work. Update now that it's finished. Loved it, different to what I expected, but refreshing and charming. Love the characters the showing of connection and backstory and a larger world, without info dumbs and long asides. He's said he wants to write more and I am here for it. HIGHLY recommend."
