Chapter 1: I Love You.

Rhea wondered, what she had gotten herself into.

On a fine Friday brunch, herself and her three closest confidant sat down over a nice ravioli and cocktails. Carr, always the social heart of the group, invited them to Bloom’s Monday piano recital at the Central Music Museum, as her daughter bloom is performing for the very first time in the city.

While the invitation thrilled the ladies, Meera drifted into another subject entirely — the toxic culture at her law firm. Even now, she said, women struggled for equal opportunity in workplaces ruled by male hypocrisy. Rhea, a successful novelist, agreed to attend Bloom’s recital before leaving for a weekend at Issyk Lake with her husband, Joe. She confirmed with carr to attend the recital and then leave for her 3 hour drive to lake.

As Rhea returned to her beautiful heaven at 12th floor, Mr. Joe was in kitchen grilling salmon and vegies, Rhea put on some nice Todd Rundgrin on vinyl, she swayed her long skirt towards joe, talking the idea of a great weekend after bloom’s piano recital, joe agreed to the idea while setting dinner, as he tossed a idea of a workout before the drive whilst rhea had her show. the couple shares the salmon over a glass of wine, both had a fabulous night.

The next day when Mr. joe was having his weekly cigar, Rhea tapped in for a quick outfit check. As Joe was in a awe of her, his eyes shine looking at her. “Remember these?” she asked, tapping the blue heels against the floor.

Joe smiled softly. “How could I forget the shoes you married me in?” The beautiful blue heels held their love story of seasons and tides. They shared a sweet a kiss as the cab call came at there door, woman in her heels stepped out in joy of an amazing evening. Right outside at museum when Carr was handing over the tickets, Rhea’s editor asked her ideas and progress of her new article as the ton was in talks of the new high end fashion icon - Sia. The crowd was addressed to their respective seats, Joe headed to the his peloton for high ride before the weekend dip at their lake house.

On the other hand Sia took the seat beside Rhea to share a quick idea of doing a podcast as Rhea’s book love, life and light was in the top 3 novels in state. the show begins, after 2 school fried kids tests everyone’s patience in hall, Sia slipped a joke in Carr’s ears, Bloom performance was introduced, bloom was practicing this routine for last 17 months. As Bloom began to play, the hall slowly surrendered to silence. The irritation caused by the restless schoolchildren faded beneath the weight of her music. Her fingers moved with the confidence of seventeen months of relentless practice, each note pulling the audience deeper into astonishment. Across town, Joe was pushing through his fifth lap on the Peloton, sweat pouring down his face as a sharp discomfort twisted beneath his ribs. His cardiologist’s warning echoed somewhere beneath the adrenaline, but he ignored it, determined to finish strong.

Meanwhile the recital concludes at the buffer of 30 minutes Rhea run to praise bloom for her fabulous piano recital. While appreciating the 17 year old, she denied the invite of quick afterparty at Barney’s with her friends.

On her way back, in cab she was jsut remembering the shine and awe of her joe’s eye. As she got back home to the noise of running water and open gate of steam, Water ran endlessly from the shower.

Joe lay against the tiles, barely breathing.

For a moment, Rhea froze.

Then she dropped beside him.

His trembling lips shaped the words I love you one final time.

She held him beneath the falling water as his strength slowly left him. ..his lips synced to last ” i love you”, Rhea looked in his eyes, running in the shower, holding joe in her arms for the last time, he shared his last kiss and gave it his all life.
