Review: Help! I'm the Only Man on Earth and the President

" I picked this up on a quiet afternoon and finished it in one sitting, which tells you something right there. The writing moves fast and the comedy timing is genuinely good. Kevin alone is worth the read. The premise is gloriously unhinged in the best pulpy tradition, and the author knows how to escalate a scene. The dinner chapter had me. The pizza van had me. The doctor taking clinical notes at deeply inappropriate moments had me. Alex isn't my kind of leading man. He's sweet and flustered and those blue eyes get mentioned approximately every three pages, but if you've ever wanted to watch one very confused man navigate a world of women who have never seen shoulders before, this scratches that specific itch with commitment and humor. Somewhere out there is a reader who is going to absolutely devour this book and finish it a little breathless. This review is for her. The writing is confident, the plot keeps moving, and the chaos is consistent. For what it is, it does what it sets out to do. kira"
