Episode 1 — Winter, The First Look

It was winter morning. The air was cold, and students were coming to school wearing sweaters. Ling Mingming got down from the school van with her friend. They were laughing and walking toward their class.

While walking, Mingming looked around the school campus. Suddenly, she noticed a group 3 boys and two girls. One boy was slightly bent forward while talking, and beside him stood a tall girl. Another boy was standing quietly.

Mingming slowed her steps.

She whispered in her mind,

"Wow… they look so good together. The day is already nice."

She kept walking but secretly kept looking at the bowed boy. Her friend noticed and said,

“Where are you looking? Come fast, we’ll be late.”

Mingming quickly looked away.

She thought, He is in a higher class… I am just in seventh. It doesn't matter.

At that time, she did not have a crush. She just thought they looked like a couple.

Days Passing

Every morning she saw them again:

the bowed boy

the tall girl

sometimes the quiet second boy

She started believing: "They must be in a relationship."

She even told her best friend after school: “That couple is so beautiful. They match perfectly.”

Still, she didn’t realize her own feelings yet.

The First Noticing Moment

One day, she walked from the same path where they usually stood.

She tried to look casually.

But the quiet second boy noticed that she was looking at them again and again.

He looked confused.

Mingming quickly looked away and pretended nothing happened.

She then thought: "The girl looks older than him… maybe two years older? Can that happen?"

She kept thinking about them — not as her crush, but as a story she was observing.

Small Change

Days passed.

One morning, she didn’t see them.

She looked around unconsciously.

That was the first time she searched for him.

She didn’t the why.

Van Scene

One day after school, Mingming sat in the van.

She looked outside the window.

The bowed boy was riding a cycle with his friend.

She quickly tapped her friend and said: “Look! That couple boy!”

She kept talking about the girl — her style, her behavior is but actually she was watching him.

This is where her feelings start changing slowly.

Then few months passed and exams start she was good at studies so she forgot everything

Exams begin.

School closes.

Summer holidays start.

Mingming goes to her aunt’s house.

She forgets everything… or she thinks she did.

Then after vacation, winter begins again…

And she sees him again.

Her heart reacts differently this time.
