Chapter 1
PROLOGUE:
Amulya never thought she'd fall for a stranger she met on a train. Nor did she imagine that same man would become her downfall--or her salvation.
Abhay never thought he'd break the law--the very one he swore to uphold--to protect someone. Nor did he ever think he'd fall for the woman who made him do it.
Now that their lives are intertwined, they must trust each other to survive.
But here's the catch: the more one of them uncovers, the more the other looks guilty. Can Amulya and Abhay learn to trust each other in time? Or will the corrupt system swallow them whole?
Author's note:
Hey guysssss!! Haven here
This is actually one of my first real works. And I'm soo excited to share it with you guys🤗
This story was inspired by a true event that took place in Kolkata, India--The R.G.Kar incident. It was devastating, really. It showed us Indians how corrupt and wrong our system is.
I wrote this book imagining that the victim (the female lead) had support, that things worked out in the end. I hope you guys find it interesting. (All the scenarios in this book is from my imagination, it's not the same as the real incident)
Feel free to comment and share your advices. I'd love to hear what you think as we go on this journey together!
And don't forget to add Beyond the Protocol to your library!! 😉
Have a nice day!! 😊
(PS: A huge thanks to my friend for the amazing cover!)
