"I am absolutely blown away by this story. From the very first chapter, the author plunges you into a visceral, terrifying nightmare, but grounds it so deeply in raw human emotion that you cannot look away. This isn't just a standard sci-fi alien abduction story it is a profound, heartbreaking exploration of motherhood, trauma, and the agonizing realities of grief and survival. Sarah is a phenomenal protagonist. She isn't a typical, fearless action hero; she is a terrified, broken woman whose feral instinct to protect Elliot and Suzie forces her to endure unimaginable horrors. Her psychological journey especially her devastating realization about her baby, Isobel, and her messy, non linear struggle with recovery is written with such brutal, beautiful honesty. The world-building is incredible, and the dynamic between Sarah and Sonn is already fascinating. Sonn's blunt, unyielding honesty is the perfect counter to Sarah's paralyzing grief, and their interactions are thick with tension, creating a slow-burn connection that is incredibly compelling. The author’s writing style is immersive, atmospheric, and emotionally shattering. The pacing of her trauma and healing is masterfully handled without any forced positivity. If you are looking for a story with massive emotional stakes, gripping tension, and unforgettable characters, you need to read this. I am completely hooked and cannot wait to see where this incredible journey goes!"

It's such an interesting take on a sci-fi romance, with the main character already having a husband and child, it really gave the story more emotional stakes. And I loved the romance, it felt like it progressed naturally. I'd love a follow-on story of what happened next!"

"This story had me crying, which pretty much never happens! I also tend to hate slow burn romance but this one was perfect because it really shows the character development. The whole idea of the Other, is so cool. A more ancient, instinctive version of a ‘soulmate’. Which I think is a beautiful concept to write about, but that may just be the yearning in me lol"
Fantastic premise
"The premise of this story is incredibly imaginative, and the author has created a world and plot that immediately caught my attention. I genuinely wanted to see where the story was going. Unfortunately, I struggled with the main character. While she may have been written exactly as intended, I found her difficult to connect with and increasingly unlikeable as the story progressed. Eventually, that made it hard for me to stay invested in the narrative despite enjoying the concept itself. I think readers who connect with the protagonist will likely enjoy this story far more than I did. The creativity behind the plot is undeniable, but the lead character ultimately kept me from finishing the book."
