Prologue
BLACKWOOD FOREST ACADEMY
April 28th 1975
It was just another Monday for all the boarding students of Blackwood Forest Academy. Waking up every 5:30 am to do their work parade when a sharp piercing cry was heard from the school’s edge. Probably a prefect on duty. The students rushed out of their dormitories with their gardening tools to see if they were in danger.
“What’s going on?”
“Are you okay?”
“What frightened you?” Students murmured around the prefect, who kept her gaze straight into the dark forest where the swamp edge is where a student’s body lay between the swamp weeds and moist. Nina Tom, the school’s top swimming star, was dead.
That tragic moment, Novalie Monroe decided to find the truth that lies between the swamp and her friend Nina Tom.
