Summary
Stella VanDrake is a recently freed slave who has found herself in an interesting predicament. She is the pilot, bookkeeper, maid, mechanic, and first mate of a recently inherited smuggling operation run by the obnoxiously good-looking, charismatic young captain, Devaro Carthage, or Dev for short. This have been going at least marginally smoothly for the last year until a near miss with a slaver on Gratalli nearly lost her her freedom and Dev his only employee. So what else could Dev do but find some muscle and passengers for honest credits. Enter Arthur Tyco, Caleb Strider, MRK-4, and Gale Arcturas. These four people are about to turn Dev and Stella's world Upsidedown in every way. The question is...Will they survive it?
