The following goes, “ All hunters must be dispatched and deal with the threat immediately. This is an emergency.“

The portal loomed ominously before them, its shimmering gateway pulsing with a hauntingly beautiful energy that seemed to hum in harmony. The air was thick with tension, an electric charge that tingled and moved as the ground vibrated as if responding to the portal’s might, a warning that something was about to emerge.

Alice, a younger woman with wide eyes full of fear, turned to their leader, Ryder. Her voice trembled like the air around them.

“What are we going to do!? What if one of those things comes through the portals?”

Ryder’s piercing gaze never wavered from the roaring vortex of energy, his jaw clenched tight with determination “Don’t worry, Alice. We’ve trained extensively for this moment. The captains will come, they’ll take care of it,” he reassured her but deep down, even he couldn’t shake the gnawing sense of dread.

As if summoned by his words, a horde of massive bat-like creatures erupted from the portal, their leathery wings beating violently as they spread into the air. The creatures screeched a bone-chilling chorus that echoed through the ravine, their eyes gleaming with a predatory hunger aimed directly at the group.

The earth shuddered with the weight of their emergence, threatening to topple the hunters off their feet.

Instinctively the mages sprang into action. Their faces were set in fierce concentration as they raised their hands, drawing from the well of magical energy within themselves. Incantations flew from their lips as they conjured shimmering barriers, arcs of glowing light springing up around the hunters like protective cocoons. “Hold the line! One of them shouted green energy swirling around her as she unleashed a torrent of fire toward the oncoming horde.

The combat hunters flanked their magical counterparts, weapons glinting in the fading light as they charged into battle. With muscles coiled like springs they launched themselves at the creatures, swords slicing through the air with thunderous clangs. Steel met chitin in a cacophony of violence arcs of magic cracking and stabbing at the sky.

“They’re overwhelming us!”

One of the combat hunters, Theo, yelled, his breath ragged as he parried a monstrous wing aimed at him, barely avoiding the razor-tipped edges.

The force of the blow sent him staggering back, eyes wide with panic.

“Stay focused!” Ryder shouted, his voice cutting through the chaos.

“We need to buy time for the captains!”

The ground shook as another wave of the grotesque creatures pressed forth, their numbers seemingly endless. The clash of weapons and the zapping of magical spells filled the air, creating a concert of chaos and desperation as blood and magic mingled in the dust.

A desperate battle cry erupted from one of the hunters, “We need healers over here!” Adrenaline surged through their veins, pushing the hunters to push harder as comrades fell around them, wounded but still fighting.

At that moment, the healers moved like shadows amidst the chaos. Their hands glowed with soothing energy as they rushed to aid the injured weaving through the combat like skilled dancers.

But the relentless tide of monsters made it difficult to concentrate. The healers had to constantly

Evade the onslaught, purposefully forcing their way through their own allies to shield the wounded while channeling their magic to restore hope where it was fading.

Meanwhile, the news channels broadcast urgent updates on the staggering anomaly situation, relaying chaotic images of destruction and despair.

“Reports are flooding in from all over the world,” one frantic reporter exclaimed. “Multiple portals are opening, unleashing monstrous creatures that are wreaking havoc and causing unprecedented devastation!’

The screen flickered with images of colossal creatures rampaging through city streets, their very presence sending terrified citizens fleeing in all directions. An ominous sense of foreboding loomed over the hunters as they witnessed the unfolding horrors.

Just as one of the hunters, Liam, found himself cornered and outnumbered, a streak of movement caught his eye. With a powerful thud, a figure materialized out of thin air wielding a massive weapon radiating with fierce energy. In a seamless motion, the figure struck down the creature lunging at Liam, sending it crashing into the ground in a tangle of limbs.

As the creature slumped lifelessly to the ground, the identity of this new warrior became clear. It was Juliet, an S-rank captain renowned for her extraordinary strength and combat prowess. Her spear gleaned definitely in the warning light, a needle of magic piercing through the chaos as her muscles flexed with precise control.

“Keep fighting!”

Juliet commanded, jumping into the fray as if the madness around her fueled her strength. Each thrust of her spear dispatched creatures with deadly precision, sending shards of bone and sinew

Scattering across the ground.

“Looks like the captains finally arrived,” a hunter breathed, awe mingling with relief.

Just a moment later, another figure joined the battle-this time, it was Alex, another captain, a living whirlwind of momentum. He moved with unmatched speed, his massive sword cutting effortlessly through the air as he rapidly dispatched three creatures in the blink of an eye. His attacks were a masterclass of skill, each motion fluid and powerful; the hunters watching couldn’t help but gawk at the spectacle.

“How are they so damn strong?”

One hunter asked, breathless as he witnessed Alex’s strike down yet another creature with a single, decisive blow.

“Thank the stars they showed up!”

Another hunter called out, relief flooding their voices.”We were seriously outnumbered!”

A nod passed between Juliet and Alex- a wordless acknowledgment of their shared experience and intuitive teamwork.

They fought back-to-back, an unspoken bond forged through countless battles, their movements synchronizing like clockwork.

“These captains are something else,” a hunter muttered, feeling a renewed sense of hop surge within him as he fought alongside his cornades.

But as the battle intensified, Juliet’s voice rang out above the chaos. “Everyone’s fall back!” Her tone was firm, commanding, and urgent. The hunters obeyed like a well-drilled army, darting back to provide the captains more space to maneuver.

Suddenly, everyone looks over and sees a striking figure- Eugene, the strongest captain among their ranks, emerges from the shadows, flying over a building. He stood tall, an air of gravitas surrounding him, as he got into motion as he raised his hand and pointed, he held a shimmering blue orb cracking with raw power in his hand.

The hunters’ Hearts raced. They were well aware of Eugeue’s legendary abilities and the tales of his unmatched strength that had become folklore among the hunters.

As realization dawned, anticipation tightened in their chests. Could he turn the tide of battle?

In a fluid motion, Eugene hurled the blue orb toward a nearby portal.

The moment it made contact with the swirling mass of energy, a blinding explosion illuminated the sky, enveloping everything in a blinding flash.

A shockwave rippled outward, and the portal shattered into countless shards of light, collapsing under the sheer force.

As the last remnants of the portal faded away, the creatures still attempting to surge through vanished instantly, leaving nothing but ethereal echoes of their existence.

The hunters starred in wide-eyed amazement, hope and relief washing over them in waves.

Eugene’s arrival had turned the tide; the hunters felt the weight of dread lifted off their shoulders just as a collective sigh of relief escaped their lips. They revealed this newfound advantage, invigorated and emboldened by the presence of their legendary captains, determined to reclaim their world from the clutches of chaos.

For over a hundred years, a series of catastrophic events known as the “Anomaly” have been ravaging the planet, leaving a trail of destruction and despair in their wake. What began as an inexplicable phenomenon quickly escalated into terror, with mysterious portals scattering across the globe.

These shimmering gateways pulsated with an energy that seemed to draw in the very fabric of reality and, ultimately, the wrath of otherworldly forces

Initially, the portals fascinated people-a novelty that drew crowds eager to gawk and speculate. But as time passed, it became evident that these portals were not mere curiosites; they were conduits leading to nightmarish realms, birthing strange and terrifying entities intent on chaos

Chaos indeed arrived with the Anomaly, unleashing havoc upon Earth.

Countless lives were extinguished, cities crumbled into ruin, and entire ecosystems transformed unnaturally. Despair fell over nations like a dark shroud, as governments and scientific communities scrambled to discern the origins of this calamity, seeking ways to halt its relentless advance.

Yet, the deeper they delved into the intricacies of the Anomaly, the less they understood. Mysteries within mysteries unfolded deepening the enigma.

Amidst the encroaching despair, a small pocket of resistance emerged, groups of brave souls bound together by an indomitable desire to reclaim their world. These groups of defiant fighters became known as “Hunters.”

Hunters hailed from every walk of life, united by purpose and determination to defend humanity from otherworldly threats.

With governments and militaries shattered, they took up arms, transforming into humanity’s last line of defense against the Anomaly.

To bring organization to their efforts, a ranking system was devised. Hunters were divided into five ranks based on ability and skill; S at the top and E at the bottom.

Combat hunters stood at the forefront, employing their physical prowess and agility to combat the monstrous onslaught. Healers fulfilled an essential support role, wielding potent magic to aid those wounded in battle.

Archers specialized in long-range attacks, relying on precision to cut down threats from afar, while Sorcerers wielded spells to protect and obliterate their enemies.

At the pinnacle were The S-Rank Captains, warriors whose skills in combat, magic and all forms of martial arts, their leadership stood unmatched. They commanded respect and were the guiding force, leading their fellow hunters against the dark tide of destruction.

An individual’s rank manifested at birth, their destiny entwined with what they were born into. Abilities exhibited themselves from a young age, revealing each person’s potential and path in life. Rarely, some might be born without any discernible abilities, rendering them “Unranked” and often scoffed at by society. Within hunting circles, these individuals were labeled E-Rank, or….

“Exterinaton.”

E-rank were perceived as weak, dismissed as more liability then asset. Society oftentimes relegated them to menial tasks, reinforcing their image as expendable. Still, some harbored untapped potential, hidden talents waiting to burst free if given the chance, but societal stigmas meant they often remained in the shadows.

The term “Extermination” emerged from the belief that these individuals were little more than distractions for higher-ranked hunters. Although many argued this label was demeaning, it persisted as a method to categorize those who didn’t fit the established norms.

This rigid structure shaped a society in which rank dictated worth and opportunity, casting long shadows on merit and effort. In this tumultuous world, policies of rank shaped destinies, forging identities as unyielding as steel-each hunter bound by the circumstances of their birth.

Yet, with every challenge faced in this apocalyptic struggle, hunters discover that even those thought to be powerless may rise to defy their fate in the fight against the Anomaly,

Harnessing unity and courage, they strive to reclaim the world that once held such promise.
