Quietly devastating in the best way

"I started this thinking it would just be another queer psychological story, but the writing immediately pulled me in. The tension between Mira and Celeste is written so subtly that you don’t even realize how attached you’ve become until the chapter ends. What I love most is that the story doesn’t rely on dramatic chaos to feel intense. Everything is quiet, controlled, and emotionally sharp. Celeste already feels like one of those characters you can’t fully trust but also can’t stop thinking about. The narration is beautiful without trying too hard, and the emotional detail feels incredibly real. It reads like literary fiction but still has that addictive “one more chapter” energy. Definitely one of the strongest openings I’ve read in this genre in a while."
