Worth a Read

"The novel gets off to an action packed start which really does set the pace and tone for the rest of the novel. This does lead the beginning to be a little confusing and it does mean a lot of exposition and backstory is crammed in after their initial encounter. Definitely worth pulling through though as by the end the plot does draw you in and you do end up caring about where it will end up. There are a lot of characters meaning many are very underdeveloped but the main three are done very well, driving the novel forward. Can't help the feeling that I've stumbled into the middle of a series rather than the first book, but I would give others in the series a go if that were the case."
