Chapter 1
Two Different World
"Matches are made in heaven; if you are destined to meet someone, it will happen regardless of which corner of the world they are in.
Anaya’s destiny was written much the same way. She had only asked God for one thing: to make her boring life a little more interesting. Little did she know, things were about to get a lot more "interesting" than she ever imagined. The door to Room 104 wasn't just a regular door—it was the gateway to a whole new chapter, and Anaya had no idea that walking through it would change her life forever.
The first rays of the sun streamed through the window, falling directly onto Anaya’s face. The chirping of the birds felt like a gentle melody. To shield herself from the bright light, Anaya pulled the blanket over her face, but just then, the alarm clock went on—tick-tick-tick-tick.....
Anaya reached her hand out from under the blanket and silenced the alarm. Almost instantly, a voice called out from outside the room.
"Anaya, wake up! It’s already 7:00 AM. Get up, or you’ll be late for work!" her grandmother shouted from the hallway.
"Hmm, Grandma... I’m up, I’m up," Anaya replied.
Anaya finally drags herself up and sits on the edge of the bed, muttering to herself. "Come on, Anaya... here we go again. Another boring day. I don’t know why Monday even exists. I hate Mondays! Why can't every day be a holiday? And on top of that, you chose a career you have absolutely no interest in. Aaaaah!" She pulls the blanket over her head and lets out a frustrated scream.
"God, why is my life so boring?" she begins to complain. "Please, just let something—anything—good happen for once!"
Meanwhile, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), Australia, the entire stadium is a sea of blue and green jerseys as the high-stakes India-Pakistan match unfolds.
Two batsmen clad in blue jerseys stride toward the pitch, and only one name is on everyone’s lips: "Aryan! Aryan! Aryan!" The entire ground echoes with that single name. Aryan is the rising star of the cricketing world, having left an indelible mark on people’s hearts in a remarkably short span of time.
Anaya walked into the kitchen for breakfast, the sound of the TV commentary humming in the background. Her grandmother was glued to the screen, watching the match intensely.
"Anaya, look at this boy, Aryan!" her grandma exclaimed, pointing at the TV. "He’s the rising star everyone is talking about. Have you seen how he plays?"
Anaya barely glanced at the screen as she poured her tea. "Grandma, you know I don’t really follow these new players. For me, there’s only one king—Virat Kohli, the GOAT. Once he retired, my interest in cricket kind of went with him."
She took a sip of her tea and continued, "I only watch the occasional ODI if he’s mentioned or if it’s a legendary throwback. Besides, with my work schedule, I barely have time to breathe, let alone sit and watch a match constantly. My life is all about deadlines now, not boundaries."

I can understand Anaya's problem. 😏 If favorite player isn't there, then the game just doesn't feel the same. 😄
By the way... ending on a cliffhanger in the story notes? 👀
