Chapter 1 Chapter 1 — New Beginnings

The bright Chennai sun reflected against the massive entrance of IIT Madras as hundreds of freshers rushed across the campus with nervous excitement.

Among them stood three best friends Anu, Sahana, and Avinesh.

For them, this wasn't just the beginning of college life. It was another chapter of a friendship that had already survived years together.

All three of them had chosen B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering, determined to stay together no matter what.

"Can you believe we actually made it here?" Sahana asked dramatically, adjusting her sunglasses.

Unlike the others around her, Sahana looked effortlessly glamorous. Her expensive watch, stylish outfit, and confident attitude made it obvious that she came from a wealthy family.

Beside her stood Anu, looking completely opposite.

With her long braided hair, soft eyes, and simple kurthi, she carried a calm and homely charm that instantly made people feel comfortable around her.

And then there was Avinesh.

Tall, smart, and annoyingly handsome according to Sahana, he casually walked beside them while scrolling through his phone as if getting into IIT was the easiest thing in the world.

After the orientation session ended, the three wandered around the huge campus excitedly, exploring every corner like little kids.

"This place is literally a city," Anu whispered in amazement.

Before anyone could reply, a loud voice interrupted them.

"SAHANAAA!"

The next second, a girl came running toward them and pulled both Sahana and Anu into a tight hug.

"Varshini sister !" they screamed together.

Varshini was Sahana's elder sister and one of the most popular seniors on campus. Stylish, confident, and loud enough to attract attention anywhere she went, she instantly filled the atmosphere with energy.

"You guys finally made it here," she said proudly.

Soon, the entire gang gathered at the canteen.

Even though they studied in different colleges, they always found time for each other.

Varun and Sasi joined them shortly after.

Sasi, the oldest among them, was studying at SRM University while Varun had recently joined the same college as his junior.

Despite coming from different schools and colleges, the group shared an unbreakable bond that felt more like family than friendship.

The canteen was filled with laughter, teasing, stolen food, and endless conversations.

For Anu, it felt perfect.
