"M Lane delivers to you an incredibly unique approach to a futuristic romance. It is quirky, humorous and very touching. Ben is a character you will love because of his shy, empathetic and kind nature. It is distinct in that he is a robotic engineer who actually cares about the nonsensical and cruelty in decommissioning or dumping of 'out-of-date' androids who can still have a useful place in society. He finds Levi, an ex-military altered to a companion android, in a trash heap and battles the logic of rebuilding such an expensive, complex model. His caring nature, coupled with the major challenge of such a task, wins out and he lugs what is left of Levi home. That act of kindness will change his life tenfold. And, one specific component removed, will change the life of the android he works on. The tech speak is far from boring and the concept is incredibly believable, immersing you into a future with real-life androids."

"Ben is so lovable and relatable, and so captivating with all his little quirks and charming character flaws. I am desperately jealous that he gets to have Levi around, and I suspect I am only going to get more jealous as the story progresses 😅 The character development particularly deserves a nod, as you so quickly get a feel for both guys' personalities - even when Levi can't speak yet, he somehow manages to overflow with sass and charisma! The attention to detail is wonderful, making all the tech feel real and believable, without you having to actually have a robotics degree to follow. Plus there's so much humour baked in, there's something that will have you giggling in every chapter - usually at Ben's chronic blushing or scathing inner monologue! And I think it goes without saying that Levi's innate 'soft dom' vibes are preeeetty hot 😉 I'm as smitten as Ben is. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜"
