Reunited
Starscream stood in front of the council of worlds. “As you can see…”
Suddenly with out any warning a bot threw open the doors and hugged Starscream so hard it was almost more of a tackle.
Starscream stood paralyzed for a second unable how to respond. “Er… I’m sure you have the wrong bot.”
The bot let go and Starscream saw her face for the first time. “Firestorm?”
“You know it! The news of what’s going down on Cybertron finally reached earth and when I heard you were now LORD Starscream, well you know I just had to come!”
“Ah well… I’m certainly glad to see you again but I am in the middle of something.” Starscream gestured to the council. “A very private meeting, in fact. How did you… never mind the less I know the better.”
Windblade frowned. “Who is this?”
Starscream tried to push Firestorm towards the door. “Someone who will be leaving right…”
Firestorm slipped past Starscream. “I’m Starscreams little sis. I served with the decepticons for about 15 years then at earth I switched to the auto…”
“No one wants to hear your life story Firestorm.” Hissed Starscream as he tried to drag her out of the room.
“As grouchy as ever.” Muttered Firestorm. “Glad to see some things never change.”
“Things have changed.” Hissed Starscream as he pushed her out of the room. She suddenly turned invisible and slipped out of Starscreams reach. “FIRESTORM!” he yelled at thin air. “This is serious! We are discussing serious events and you are not permitted to be at this meeting!”
“What’s wrong Starscream.” Asked Knock out slyly. “Can’t keep track of your little sister.”
Moonracer giggled. “She is a spirited little girl, isn’t she?”
“Rattrap!” yelled Starscream. “Stop staring and help me!”
“Got it boss!” said Rattrap as he got up.
Suddenly Starscreams crown seemingly floated off his head and Firestorm grabbed it. “Really? Solid gold? Isn’t that a little tacky.”
Rattrap tackled Firestorm. “Your no fun.” Huffed Firestorm as she became visible again.
“Sorry kiddo, funs over.” Rattrap started to escorted her out of the meeting room.
Firestorm looked over her shoulder. “We’ll hang out later, right scream?”
Starscream was quiet and Firestorms face fell. “Right? Starscream?” she repeated. As Rattrap closed the door on her, it hit her for the first time. He didn’t want her.
Wheeljack opened the door to Starscreams throne room. “Hey screamer, I have…” Wheeljack took a second look at the bot curled up on top of Starscreams toppled throne. “Oh, your not starscream are ya?” Wheeljack looked around to see the mirror shattered and the desk broken. “Did a tornado come through?”
“Let’s go with that.” Muttered Firestorm.
Wheeljack put down his stuff and sat down next to Firestorm. “Did that tornado have anything she was particarly upset about?”
“Two years. First time I see him in two years and he shoves me aside.”
“We talking bout screamer here?”
Firestorm nodded. “I just…” Firestorm groaned. She pointed to a part on the side of her helmet. “You see this?”
“Yea what about it?”
“It’s a sort of hearing aid. You know why I need it?”
“Guessing it has to do with Starscream?”
“Starscream crossed Megatron and when Megatron found out he had the full intent to crush Starscream but I got in-between them, I stepped in front of Megatron and said if you mess with my brother you mess with me.”
“And Megatron did that?”
Firestorm nodded. “He bashed my head in so bad that he did some damage to the audio receipting part of my brain model. Unless I want to get a whole head replacement, I would need this welded to the side of my helmet. I’ve given so much to Starscream and he can’t even…”
Suddenly the doors opened. It was Starscream.
Starscream’s eyes almost fell out of his skull when he saw the state of the room. “What the…” Then his eyes rested on Firestorm and understanding dawned. “Oh, I see.”
Firestorm looked away unwilling to meet his eyes.
Starscream looked over at Wheeljack. “Wheeljack would you give us a moment?”
“Sure.” Wheeljack picked up his stuff and as he headed out he whispered. “Be nice.” To Starscream.
Starscream cleared his throat. “It seems I have upset you more than I thought, I forget how sensitive you are. I…”
No one else but a sibling would hear the lie in Starscream’s voice. No one else short of Thundercracker or Skywarp would understand Starscream. “You want something, don’t you?” accused Firestorm.
Starscream frowned. “Can’t you just accept an apology?”
“I can accept AN apology, just not one from you. I’ve never heard you honestly apologize in all my life!” snapped Firestorm.
A shadow fell over Starscream’s face, his eyes drifted to Firestorms antenna. “I remember one time.”
Starscream gently touched the aid. She quietly remembered after Megatron had beaten her, Starscream was franticly apologizing for letting it happen. Firestorm was pretty sure that was a sincere apology. Starscream then smiled slyly. “Heh must have been weird to meet Optimus. Optimus meeting Optimus.”
That’s what her brothers nicknamed her after the aid was welded to her head, because with it she kind of looked like Optimus Prime.
Starscream chuckled. “Remember that one time in the middle of a battle you went to go fight Optimus and right there and then Skywarp yelled out, “GET HIM OPTIMUS STORM!” and Optimus was so confused.”
Firestorm giggled. “When I switched to the Autobots he asked me to explain that whole thing.”
Starscream smiled. “Did I ever tell you the little antenna wiggle when your happy?”
“Nah but Thundercracker told me.” Firestorm reached out and wrapped Starscream in a hug.
Starscream frowned. “I’ve forgotten how much you like hugs.”
When Firestorm let go Starscream got up and dusted himself off. “I’ll arrange a room for you near mine. You can stay as long as you like.”
Firestorm got up then his words hit and a shadow fell across her face. “So, you do need something from me.”
“As long as you’re here, I wouldn’t mind your help.” Admitted Starscream. “It’s hard to know who you can trust, and you’re my sister. I can always trust you.”
After Starscream left Firestorm muttered. “But I… I can’t trust you.”
