CHAPTER 1
THIRTEEN YEARS AGO,
Anna may a twelve years old girl, lives with her family in Miami, Florida. She's the only child of her family. Mrs Eve may, Anna's mom, worked at the police department at her early age.
Jonathan Ryan, Anna's dad was a drunkard without any good reputation. He normally slept with different women until he got Eve may pregnant. Anna was vulnerable when her dad took interest in her.
In the middle of the night, she heard the door to her room open quietly, she was scared, didn't know either to move or scream. She knew it was her dad, who got into her room. Forcefully took hold of her arm and pinned her to the bed. Anna began to scream in pains and tears began to stream down her face.
He had unbottened her clothes and force himself on her. No one came to rescue her, her mom was not in most of the times when such things happened. She had night shift at work. Anna laid down there in pains all over her.......
Anna woke up quickly from bed, she was sweating seriously and had already soaked part of her night gown. She was scared, really scared that, that monster will come back again. It's just a nightmare she thought. Anna got down and made her way to the bathroom, what she needed was a hot water bath to clear that thought from her head. She put on the hot water tap and stood in front of the shower, flash backs of what happened to her in the past kept popping into her head. She couldn't forget about it, it was just there never to be forgotten. Anna got out of the bathroom and began to get dressed for work, she didn't want to be late , made her way to her wardrobe and picked out a black trousers and a white top, she also took her favourite jacket (black) to match with her trouser. Anna was fashionable, she knew the right thing to wear at any occasion, she is a model and is talented in it, and that's why she has her own modelling company.
" The Beauties " was the name of her modelling company. She is a fashion designer, and she teaches young ladies how to look stunning. She got her shoes and bent over towards the table to get her car key,house key and also her bag. Muffins her little chihuahua came running to her feet, she bent over and took him into her arms, she rubbed his hair smoothly.
" See you later muffins" she said, kissing him on the head as she Droped him gently to the floor. Anna went outside to the front porch and locked the house with its key and made her way to the garage at the back. A BMW was packed , she opened the door and got in, started the engine and drove down the street to work.
Theodore Andretti Bruce was a young man at his early Twenties, well he is a player and is known by everyone. He is very handsome and his forest green eyes did wonders. Any young lady he came in contact with loose their senses. They become hypnotized. Theodore Bruce is an influencer. He slept with many ladies he could get not because he loved them, but because he did it for pleasure. He stays in a small apartment in town with his best friend Trevor Matthews. Theo was jobless, wasn't employed to any company yet , he is a good photographer anyway. He was once employed as a photographer in one of the best companies in Georgia , but things didn't work out well and led to his less income. So he decided to come down to Florida to look for a job.
Theodore crossed down the street and walked through the side walk down town, on his way he saw a Young lady an owner of a restaurant, he thought. He walked up to her to get a specific information, he got closer to her and noticed she was an employee not the owner of the restaurant..
" BITES" the name of the restaurant.
"Hi" he said with a brief smile on his face. The lady was a bit busy, she was cleaning up. She turned around to know who drew her attention.
"Hi, how can I help you? " She asked looking directly into his eyes. She had a little smile on her face, maybe she has never seen a guy as handsome as Theodore Bruce before.
" I'm Theodore Bruce" Theo said with a large smile this time, he brought out his hand for a hand shake.
" Stephanie Cole " she said shaking his hand. And she smiled back. Stephanie Cole is a beautiful young lady, Theodore could see that but he wasn't interested in that right now.
" Do you mind if you could tell me where to get a job" Theodore said a bit serious.
" Well.. yes I could help you with that" she said holding her towel in her right hand.
" I'm a photographer, do you know any studio or something......" Theo asked looking around.
" Well I heard about a company, a modelling company to be precise. It's a wonderful place anyway, and Anna May is the owner of that company, maybe you could work there" she said rubbing her palm on her forehead.
" Um... What's the name of the company?" Theo asked eagerly.
She placed her index finger on her lips trying to remember the name of the company. " The Beauties, yeah that's the name" she said.
" The Beauties" Theo repeated " do you know how I can get there?"
Anna got to her office just in time, she hated being late for work. She needed to lead by example, she had alot of work to do , paper signing and stuffs. Anna dropped her LV ( Louis Vuitton ) bag on the table and immediately sat down on her chair. She placed her two palm on her face and took a deep breath, she was tired anyway. She's been working all day long and haven't had time for herself.Suddenly the door to Anna's office opened slightly and a short lady with thick black hair and grey eyes peeped into the office, that was Gina Coleman,she is Anna's secretary. She is as beautiful as Anna but some Anna's features made her more beautiful than Gina Coleman.
" Ma'am may I come in?, Gina asked from outside the office.
"Yes, please come in" Anna said with a brief smile. She likes Gina so much, she treats her like a sister. She always shares something which are a bit personal to Gina. Gina opened the door widely and stepped into the office, she was holding a pile of documents in her hands.
" What do we have there?" Anna asked looking at the pile of papers Gina was holding.
" They are documents from other companies, they are interested in using our models for advertisement and stuffs" Gina said " And they need you to sign it", she said handing it over to Anna. Anna read it's content, some companies wanted models for advertisement of their products.
"Okay I will get it done as soon as possible " Anna said to Gina firmly.
"Thanks Ma'am "Gina said leaving the office.
Anna started working, signing every documents on her table.
Theodore Bruce got out of a taxi which parked in front of a building, a really large building. He looked up and saw the description"THE BEAUTIES"and realised that he has made it to the place that lady had told him earlier. He brought out his wallet and gave the driver some money
"Thanks" Theo said as the driver collected the money and drove away. Theo wasn't familiar with this place at all, he looked around and saw different people going in and out of the company. He looked down, holding his equipment for his photographic work in his hand, he then walked into the large building. Everywhere was well furnished, he saw different young ladies who were dressed for something he didn't know anyway. He walked up a bit and spotted a lady at a desk. She attended to different kinds of people who entered the company. Well from Theo observations, she's a short lady with black hair. He walked up to her and she immediately raised her head.
"Good day" she said with a smile "how can I help you" she asked looking intensively at Theodore.
"Good day, um.. I'm here for a job" Theodore said looking around and then back at her.
"As a....? " She asked in confusion.
"As a photographer" Theodore said raising his equipment in his right hand.
"Name?"she asked.
"Theodore Andretti Bruce" Theodore said casually.
"Okay, Gina Coleman, nice to meet you" she said bringing her hand for a hand shake.
"Likewise" Theodore said and accepted her gesture.
She stood up and motioned Theodore to follow heras they walked up the stairs. Theodore passed alot of young ladies who he smiled at and many smiled back. Some blushed as Theodore took a quick glance at them. They made it to Anna's office, but Gina didn't want Theodore to come in with her first, she wanted notify Anna first.
"Wait here, please" she said pointing to a chair outside the office.
"Okay" Theodore said and took a seat.
Gina entered into Anna's office, she is almost done with the documents, she had given her earlier.
"Ma'am, someone someone is here to see you"Gina said standing in front of the desk. Gina was being polite as she can be, she really respects Anna so much not because she's Anna's secretary but because Anna loves and cares for her like a sister.
"Name?" Anna said looking at Gina then at her work.
"Theodore Andretti Bruce" Gina said correctly pronouncing his name.
"Okay let him in" Anna said, she really found his name interesting.
"Yes ma'am "Gina said and immediately left the office.
Theodore on seeing Gina stepping out of the office stood up hastily and walked up to her"You can go in now"Gina said with a brief smile and went back down stairs.
"Thank you" Theo said. Theodore knocked slightly on the door "come in" a female voice said from inside. He quietly opened the door and saw a lady seated, busy with alot of stuffs. Theodore stepped in and the Young lady raised her head to state at him"she's beautiful" he muttered quietly my
"Have a seat"Anna said with a little smile, he just did that.
"Hi I'm...."Theodore wasn't done talking when Anna spoke.
"Theodore Andretti Bruce" sha said looking down and then back at him.
"My secretary told me before you stepped in "she said.
"Okay, you know already, I'm here for a job" Theodore said without taking his off her. Anna noticed the way Theodore looked at her it made her uncomfortable and angry too.
"Pardon my manners, nice to meet you"Theo said with her his hand out for a gesture.
"Likewise"Anna said with a fake smile and took his hand. Theodore held her hand for a little while and Anna pulled away immediately. She didn't like having close contact with a male, she dislikes them. Dislike is an understatement, she hates men, she assumes that all men are just like her dad. She didn't want to have anything to do with them.
" Sorry if you don't like it" Theodore said still looking at Anna.
"You said you want a job"Anna said looking at him " what are you good at " she asked placing her tow hands on the table .
"I'm a photographer, I take pictures" theo said briefly, he kept admiring the lady in front of him. He kept eye contact, he knew she didn't like it but didn't mind.
"Fine, you are hired" she said handing him a white printed paper "To be honest, we need a good photographer for our models"looking at him briefly.
" You can count on me"he said looking at her as if remembering something" I didn't get your name " Theodore said with a thin smile.
Anna wasn't ready to tell this man about her, she wasn't interested in all his gestures. She looked down at the table and back at him.
"Anna Elsa May " Anna said sharply. Taking her eye off his. She was tired of staring at him, he is annoying.
"Okay thanks" Theodore said standing up and leaving the office.
Anna is free at last, she had been uncomfortable since he stepped into the office. She ran her hand through her hair and went back to work.
