What is your opinion?

Chilling

"Although I thought it came it a slow start, I really enjoyed this. It definitely made me shiver. The idea of the Iron Tree and Exbola virus just creeps me out. And it definitely served to draw me into the story. I hope that you will post more because I want to know what happens next. One thing, the story kept switching back and forth between past and present tense, and it confused me a little. Good luck in the contest!"

Iron tree

"I like your writing very much, especially your way of describing people. All your stories a very real, telling about people one might even know. But I didn't get where even one of your pieces is leading. Maybe you think I am just stupid.... "

The "Iron Age'

"This is an apocalyptic tale that reminds me of the classic Day of the Tryffids, where a comet brings flowers that quickly spread across the world and infect the human race. In this story there are no pretty flowers, but rather a gigantic Iron Tree spawned by a massive, off-the-Richter-scale quake in New Mexico. The unfolding of this event is well judged and builds suspense nicely. The author also has a great feel for how normal people act--and sound--when confronted by the unknown. It's a scary little tale, and the idea of an "exbola" only slightly strains the imagination--especially when written so skilfully. My only criticism is that such a big idea barely lends itself to a short story, where so much more development and inquiry could be brought to bear. A possible novel here, or even a longer story? There's so much more I want to know about Iron Tree and our possible fate."
