Chapter 1
Reawakening ;
"Who is he?" , "He looks so lonely" , "He looks like a freak!"
- are what students are saying about that one specific student.
Yeon Sieun
- Yeon Sieun is a top student, always getting high scores on tests, quizzes, and exams. With efforts, and motivation. He studies at school, and at home.
────────────────────
Although, he never planned to make any friends, thinking no one would even want to be friends with him either way. Until one person came into his life. Who he never thought would take a toll on his life, and never thought that person will be the most important, beloved person he'd met in his life.
Ahn Suho
- Ahn Suho is a retired MMA fighter, who never studies, and only goes to school just so he won't miss anything. He's also seen as as a charismatic person due to his handsome looks, and bravery. His strength, and durability are admired with such forethought, and consideration.
Suho was the light, the sun, most ineffable person in Sieun's life.
And Sieun thought their bonding, and friendship would last forever, although, it will come to an end.
came the day Suho fell into a deep coma.
- a month passes after Suho risked his own life just for Sieun, not knowing it would break Sieun's heart into pieces of disarray. Sieun's health plummeted dramatically, he felt sick, nauseous. Started eating less, due to violent vomiting, like his body is rejecting certain foods. He would stay in the bathroom, vomiting, even blood, until his face looked strained, and bruised. He would even pass out on the bathroom floor, thinking.
"Is this how you felt, Suho?"
- Sieun always waited beside Suho's bed, watching his lifeblood lay on the hospital bed, feeling guilty, blaming himself for everything that happened to Suho, completely oblivious to the fact that this was not his fault. Sieun looked unhealthy, his body slim, his eyes tired, his mind often distorted, his own hands numb, and his heart in disarray. His mind telling him,
"Keep Watching, watch, watch."

after his revenge for Suho, he was forced to transfer, but almost all of the high schools rejected him due to Oh Jin-won, Beom-seok's adoptive father, and his incident. Except one high school, Eunjang High school.
- rumors about him spread like wildfire in that high school, saying he caused someone in a coma, (although that one wasn't true) except one, stabbing people with pens, like it's a weapon.
and students in that school thought he was a threat, and shouldn't be approached. He even threatened Choi Hyoman, the relentless bully of this entire school, with his sharp death stare, described as frightening, dark, intimidating, felt like those empty eyes would swallow your soul whole.
- although, underneath that intimidating presence, was a broken, empty, emotional, subdued, burdened, crushed, and restless Sieun.
Truth is, he only acted intimidating just so he wouldn't look weak when he faces someone whose clearly dangerous, and a threat.
he just need Suho back, his guardian angel, his hero, his bodyguard, his everything.
until then, he surprisingly made friends, Baku, Gotak, and Juntae.
they also have a resemblance of Suho.
────────────────────
then came the day Suho woke up.
2 and a half years passed
Suho's eyes flutter open slowly, light immediately blinding him, he tries to sit up, but his legs were numb, and weak. He heard beeping sounds coming from the cardiac monitor.
- He looks at his surroundings, his mind immediately lingers to Yeon Sieun, his eyes widen, realizing Sieun wasn't present. His heart thrumming.
An hour passes, his grandmother was called. They talked to each other soothingly, and gently. Talking about how life was.
- after his grandma signed a contract, she walks with Suho, pushing his wheelchair gently, and carefully.
She grabs a gray jacket from her bag, and giving it to Suho. Suho immediately recognizes the jacket, knowing who it belongs to.
Yeon Sieun
- fresh warm tears fill Suho's tears, streaming down his face, as his grip tightens on the jacket.
────────────────────
His grandmother helped him wear Sieun's gray jacket, and Suho just sat on his wheelchair, in the park, like he's waiting for someone.
Meanwhile, Sieun is hanging out with his 3 friends at the basketball court, as Baku sat next to him, talking about how great it was today.
- Sieun gets a call, Sieun's phone rings, and rings. Sieun pulls out his phone out of his pocket, clicking answer. It was from Suho's hospital, Seongrim General Hospital.
"Dear Mr. Yeon, your friend, Ahn Suho has woken up from his two and a half years coma. You may meet him at the park outside of the hospital, thank you."
Sieun's eyes widened, his heart races. He immediately puts his phone back in his pocket, telling his friends to follow him. Sieun runs as fast as he could, just to see the person he's been waiting for, the person he stayed for. He was surprisingly faster than his friends, as his legs felt numb he didn't give up, he kept running until he made it.

◠ Sieun stayed still, staring at the person who risked his own life for him. Sieun approaches him slowly, stopping in his tracks. Suho then turned around, his eyes widening slightly as he notices Sieun standing there, infront of his eyes. As soon as their eyes met, the air between them changes. The skies turning bright, the wind wavered between them.
"How's it going?"
Suho asks, his voice soft. A small smile on his face, as Sieun parts his lips slightly to reply.
"Good."
Sieun replies, his voice quiet, and gentle. His heart races, thrumming because of the person infront of him, conscious, and alive.
"Who are those people behind you?"
Suho asks, his voice dissenting, and calm.
"..My friends."
Sieun replies, his voice undeniably quiet, and Suho smiles, grateful that he's been able to make friends while he was gone.
"That's good."
Suho responds, with a smile on his face, his voice soothing, and soft. Sieun's eyes watered, as he tries to hold back a smile. Knowing he couldn't hold it back, he smiles. Tears in his eyes.
- the first time Sieun ever smiled after two and a half years of grief—he finally felt free. His guilt fades, he finally felt safe, and loved. Just because of Suho.
